What's behind this stupid traffic re-routing
at the Ortigas Centre starting today, 20
Feb. 2003?
Damn! They closed the main thoroughfares
(like ADB Avenue) and diverted ALL TRAFFIC
to the sidestreets. Sheeet! It will take you
hours just to get in and out of Ortigas.
Any of you guys going there? Avoid it!
Never in my life have I seen such stupidity!

February 20th, 2003 11:30 PM #2Arrrgh! Sayang at ngayon ko lang nabasa itong post mo. Went to Shang this afternoon from QC. Ang gulo nga ng ginawa ng MMDA/traffic authorities. Were they trying to see just how much they could snarl traffic up by putting those no u-turn and no left turn barriers??!! And for no apparent reason either!

February 21st, 2003 11:32 AM #7Naman kasi there were no advance notices nor consultations. Naipit tuloy ako sa ABD ave. last night because all of a sudden may mga roadblocks at no right/left turn signs na nilagay yung MMDA which surprised most of the motorists. Super traffic tuloy. Eh for the past 6 months na dumadaan ako doon eh hindi naman ganoon ka-heavy yung traffic unlike last night. Nandoon pa rin yung mga road blocks this morning. :?

February 21st, 2003 12:22 PM #8di na ako dumadaan diyan sa Green Meadows at Ortigas Avenue...kung galing kayong Libis, subukan nyo mag C5 tapos kanan kayo sa Canley Road, kanan ulit papuntang ULTRA hanggang makarating kayo ng Meralco Avenue(kung wala pang road blocks ang mga ito)...

February 21st, 2003 03:43 PM #10sobrang horrific, took me 20mins yesterday from strata to galleria... it happened mga past lunch na coz when I left the office at around 1pm wala pa sya, pag balik ko sa 6pm ganun na... up to now ganun din..
i made reklamo to BF directly already...

Ilang oras rin naman tayong naka-tanga
diyan sa Ortigas Center last night.
Fortunately, tinanggal na nila yung mga
barriers (most of them anyway) as of today,
21 Feb. 2003.
They probably realized what a dumb move it was.

February 22nd, 2003 10:46 AM #13d nga kaya plot lang yan para sabihin nilang mas traffic pag walang coding so dapat ibalik.
Napapansin ko lang na may mga areas na naging mas traffic lately. Ang pinakareason?? yung interval ng stoplights nabago and may mga t*t*ng*-t*ng*ng traffic enforcers na binabara yung mga intersections.

February 22nd, 2003 11:35 AM #14I think the re routng was cause by the PBA, I'm not sure saw it last nite sa TV, hinde ko lang alam kung live, parang nag fashion show yata sila sa may megamall, the show is called "pormang PBA"
