Un testing centers ng LTO are hardly what you call a testing centers. They are just there for the sake of being there. They give written test with answers on it. They do ask occasionally for you to drive. Wala nga silang hawak na test sheet eh so i wonder how on earth could they pass you or fail you for that matter! Its really funny but they fail to realize the long term implications of them not taking their jobs seriously. In singapore for example mga bros, they have one of the most stringent requirements before you could get a driving lic. You are required to pass written exams. Those who fail are required to retake again but not immediately. You have to wait for your schedule before you can retake. This means several weeks or months of waiting. Once you pass you go for the practical test. This is the difficult part. During the practical test the applicant will be required to drive around a big course as big as a track and field. Take note that during the course the instructor will hardly talk to you. He will just instruct to drive around, do parallel parking, stop on an uphill, etc etc.. He has with him a test sheet where he takes down scores and decides what score you make on a particular scenario. One should not exceed 20points. Meaning for every mistakes you make you get a demerit point. If you exceed 20points, goodbye and try your luck next time. This testing centers are run by the govt. Im sure a lot of you have been to Singapore. Look at their traffic situations. Its very predictable and disciplined. They stop on pedestrian crossings, make a full stop on filter lanes whether they see an incoming car or not, signals early to signify intentions etc etc.. Their govt makes sure that when you get your lic you do deserve to drive and that they are already qualified to do so.

Its interesting to note also how Singapore traffic violation works. Each driver are entitled to earn max 12 demerit points per year. Once you exceed this limit your lic is automatically suspended. How does this work? Every violation has a corresponding demerit points. Not wearing your seat belt 2pts, beating the red light 4pts, over speeding (depending on how much you over sped) 6pts, not stopping on a pedestrian lane 4pts etc etc.. Once you garner more that 12 points you can say goodbye to your lic. To get it back you have to sit it out for some time before you are allowed to get your lic back, but not without having to retake the driving test again! To make it worse, not only do you get demerits you also pay a fine! For every violation theres also a corresponding fine. For example not wearing your seatbelt would easily cost you S$50-100! That is about P1500-2000! Deterrent enough? I guess so. Because as far as the traffic situations in singapore is concerned it is definitely world class. Its safe and very predictable. We are far from being safe and definitely unpredictable. Something to think about guys.

Pag nasa incline na ako at hanging eto naman ginagawa ko -->> release gas, step on the clutch, step on the break carefully, shift to 1st gear or/then neutral and wait for the car to halt then engage handbrake then release clutch and break. Pag aandar na, step on the clutch and break, shift to 1st gear, release the handbreak then carefully make a step on the gas while lifting the clutch almost simultaneously (dito na papasok ang timplahan.

Pero pag slow moving ang mga vehicles on an inclined road, release gas, step on the clutch and shift to low gear (1st or 2nd gear depends on the actual speed) then carefully step on the gas to achieve the desired speed and distance between the car in front of you.

    My tip:

If you're in a kind of desperate situation where malapit ka na talaga bumangga, (assuming naka-handbrake ka), shift to first gear and and timplahin mo na agad habang naka-handbrake then pag naramdaman mo ng umaarangkada na, dun mo tanggalin yung handbrake so by the time you remove it aandar ka na agad without falling back.

I had to do this once, pero pa-reverse. I was parking on an inclined road and mali tancha ko dun sa harap na car, siguro mga 5 inches nalang mababangga ko na yung nasa harap ko. Buti gumana tong tactic na to. :D
