Nanga ti siguro. Ayun puro gasgas car ng Mom ko. And since I technically own the lab, ako na nagbayad ng pa repaint nung gasgas.

i made the metal guard, from metal scraps i picked up in the house.
it cost practically nothing.
i was a ninja too, many years ago.
besides, pag pinahiran ng any form of food flavoring, i might be replacing one set of jaws with another, smaller but more plentiful, sets of jaws.
heh heh.

Speaking of cats and dogs... so this dog chased this pussy. The pussy went under the hood to hide. Unknown to the owner, he started his engine and went to his usual route. While driving along NLEX, the pussy went wild! Perhaps because of the heat that the pussy went gaga with its position, it decided to moved and so its head was crushed by the pulley. The owner can just scratch his head as his vehicle is being towed.
Going back, it's good to know that somehow you arrived at an amicable settlement. The amount you received is so small relative for the repairs but somehow it can be a deterrent for future event. It may be said that 500 is so small, however it can be a huge amount for the offending party.
For the time being, if I may suggest, look for another parking space that is much "safer".
LOL! Sir, you have a way with words and the stories they make.
But seriously. Back when most vehicles were rear wheel drive, we've had our fair share of rats and kittens getting caught between the belt and pulley or sometimes getting thrashed by the radiator fan blades as the engine was cranked first thing in the morning. The ensuing mess was almost always far from a pretty sight and meant a mandatory trip to the nearby gasoline station for an engine wash.
I am very careful with my words, so I installed a dictionary as I don't want to be "misquoted"! You should follow *dr.d, as he was the reason why I installed a dictionary. I can't afford to bring our five-inch thick Webster's dictionary everytime I log in here and read his posts.
Since this experience of my neighbor with that kitten, it became a habit of mine to open the hood first whenever I start the car in the morning.
And to avoid scratches, I always choose the place where I park. Sometimes it can't be avoided but if possible, I stay within the vicinity of the car if I'm in a place where I am unfamiliar. Still, scratches are everywhere! I even bought this repellent so that the cats won't sleep on the hood.![]()

Sorry, I can't post the exact link as I can't figure out how to get it. You can search for "Back Off". Somehow it works but not all the time. I think I should put a cloth on the hood and spray it on.
