But seriously. Back when most vehicles were rear wheel drive, we've had our fair share of rats and kittens getting caught between the belt and pulley or sometimes getting thrashed by the radiator fan blades as the engine was cranked first thing in the morning. The ensuing mess was almost always far from a pretty sight and meant a mandatory trip to the nearby gasoline station for an engine wash.
