why is it relevant to a new car buyer to be the first registered owner?

Pag 1st owner ka kasi nung car, mas mataas yong re-sale value nung car. Pag 2nd owner na, medyo di ganun kataas yong re-sale value
nya... tsaka usually, medyo kung ikaw din yong buyer, mag-iisip ka din muna kung 2nd owner na yong car at binebenta pa uli...there could be some problem with the car kaya laging binebenta yon...

    opinion ko lang.

Ooops. I accidentally edited the original post. hehe.

anyways, dx8976, your question is a bit ambiguous.

I think you mean USED CAR BUYER. kasi kung new car buyer, its not an issue who's the first registered owner.

Well If i understand your question correctly, then YES, first owned vehicles are appraised higher than one with more than one previous owner. Therefore, much more desirable.

One other thing: if there was only one owner previously, you can ask him the entire history of the car - bangga, repairs, etc.

Kund 2nd or 3rd, usually mahirap nang alamin kung anong nangyari before.

understand the point on used cars, it's really more a question on new cars. i remember something in the news before about someone suing pga cars because the new car he bought, second registered owner na siya.

Oh I see. E talagang magrereklamo ako kung sa akin nangyari yan. Brand new = ikaw yung unang gagamit. Panong nangyaring narehistro sa iba? Baka naman certified pre-owned instead of brand new, meron talaga sa casa niyan for high-end cars...

my case naman kabaliktaran....di naman sa pag yayabang, pinatino ko yung oto ko -physically and performance wise.

typical foreigner kasi previous owner... yung basta nasasakyan nila ok na...amoy yosi pa interior nung kinuha ko.

sayang nga at di ko nakunan ng pic nung bagong kuha ko... it doesn't matter kung 1st, 2nd or 3rd owner... as long as you maintain it regularly and treat it as part of the family. ;)

    Ah I see.

In that case, for me at least, its still unacceptable. Kasi kahit brand new iyan, pag dating sa papeles, a second owned car is still a second owned car. Come resale time, you're still the second owner and youve got a lot of explaining to to to the potential buyer (which, of course, is not a good thing considering cleaner alternatives out there)
