eto yong mga nakita ko last Dec year,

concord SM North: sale pa, pero isa lang at red-orange ang color :x

SM North hardware: single ply cartoon packaging, may nakasulat na LTO approved, magaan, pwedeng liparin ng hangin :x

Car shop sa SM North level 2, katabi yong way papuntang carpark: binili ko na, pair of yellow and red, local brand, ang bigat ng base. Parang lead ang base, so pwede mo ipatatak ang plate number mo, kung i-require ng LTO.

Kagagaling ko lang sa AAP (Formerly PMA) para magpa-rehistro. Daming nakatambak na EWD doon. Kailangan nga daw ipakita sa LTO para ma-rehistro ang kotse. They explained to me na hindi daw yata pwede yung nabibili sa SM dahil mabuway daw ang mga ito at madaling tumaob kapag nahanginan. Ang required daw ay yung may weight na 2.5 kg. According to the AAP, the LTO guys are selling it nga ng P500 a set. Which got me thinking, e kung magdala na lang ako ng bato sa LTO. Ngayon kung itanong nila kung para saan yun, sabihin ko na lang na pabigat sa EWD! :roll:

nagparehistro ako yesterday sa marikina LTO, puwede kayo manghiram dun sa pagkukunan niyo ng mga TPL. Di naman minamarkahan nung nagiinspect. Pero nirereject niya talaga yung mga plastic lang na EWD. Puwede mo hiramin yung sa katabi mo sa pila pero patigasan na lang ng mukha. :mrgreen:

yeah. kailangan from an authorized LTO dealer. They have 3 listed shops sa me window where you could buy the approved EWD. This sucks!

Guys, napadaan ako sa LTO Marikina yesterday. Saw a poster regarding the new EWD guidelines. I wasnt able to read it all but I took note of the 3 accredited manufacturers of EWDs.

1. Wel-Glo
2. A-2 marketing
3. Safe Shine Trading

yan nga yung 3 na nakita ko. buti nakalapit ka sa window deggy. ang dami tao sa LTO Marikina sa araw araw na ginawa ng Diyos. Dun sa mga gusto ng ok na TPL. Hanapin niyo yung stall ni Tess Ong (harap lang ng LTO). Pagkatapos ng inspection, puwede mo iwan na lang sa kaniya yung pambayad tapos balikan mo na lang kinabukasan. 10,000 years bago matawag name mo sa cashier. Sayang oras!

You're right ownertype, Walang sistema sa marikina LTO! Lahat ng tao nasa window, di makapag-hintay. Di man lang palayuin sa window ng pa-cute na gwardiya na wala namang ginagawa!

Sianmahan ko kasi pa-register yung friend ko. May kilala rin kami na taga TPL kaya swerte at 2 hours "lang" kami naghintay. Kawawa yung iba, 4-5 hours bago makapagbayad . . . tapos disapproved pa yung EWD.

Guys, those EWD's na nakalagay sa plastic case, yung stainless na manipis ang stand eh siguradong disapproved. Disapproved rin yung mga reflective stickers lang ang red/yellow part at yung painted.

Dapat mabigat ang stand and the reflective part eh yung parang crystallized plastic. usually ang case nito ay yung brown carton box which is usually given free by casas when you buy a bnew car. Bring those kind of EWD and it will surely be approved!

Guys,

Is it true na meron na daw nilalagay na "EWD Equipped" na sticker sa rear windshield, similar sa front windshield sticker (saw on tv, sa imbestigador). 8O dadami na pampadumi ng windshield...maganda pa naman walang mga stickers.

nabasa ko rin sa dyaryo un...may sticker na rin na ung nga EWD Equipped...hay ang daming raket ng LTO tlga oo...

pano ung mga naka pag register early this year?kasi ako nung march pa...di pa ganito kahigpit ung LTO sa EWD...e ang alam ko plastic lang un amin...paano kung nahuli?

hay naku... isang racket nga talaga ang EWD na iyan... ang siste kasi eh gusto nila sa kanila or sa mga kakontsaba nilang stores ka bibili... PAPAANO NA ANG FREE TRADE DITO SA PINAS!!! puñetang mga government employees yan... AKO NAGPAPALAMON SA INYO!!! mga ULOL!!!

bakit hindi na lang nila sabihin na ganito ang bigat, ganito ang dimensions, ganito ang color etc... it just shows na CLEAR AND PRESENT KURAKOT iyan...

rehistro ako auto last may 12. nakalusot ako kahit na wala akong EWD... ewan ko kung papaano, pero nakalusot...

pero mas may magandang topic duon sa LTO pasig about EWD sa mga kasabayan kong nagrehistro... kung sinasabi daw nila na nililipad ng hangin, pitikin kaya natin yung mga CONES ng MMDA? yun ang ipakitang EWD mo with matching light pa sa loob ng cone... or gamitin yung orange plastic barrier ng MMDA na pagka-laki laki... pag ni-reject nila, aba yari sila sa MMDA dahil yun ang mga EWD ng MMDA...

EWD

Effective since April 2003, the LTO has required the concurrent
registration of an Early Warning Device (EWD) conforming to new design
standards as follows during the annual registration of a vehicle:
1. An EWD set shall consist of one red and one yellow device.
2. The EWD should be collapsible, made of metal, with each side
at
least 40 cm long and 5 cm wide.
3. The reflectorized side of the EWD facing traffic should tilt
backwards between 5-10 degrees from the vertical.
4. The stand of the EWD should be at least 7 cm from the ground
when erect.
5. Both devices of the EWD should have a combined weight of at
least 1.25 kilos concentrated at the base.

When a vehicle is disabled, an EWD should be placed at least 4meters
away
from the front and rear of the vehicle. Each EWD will be given by a
numbered sticker by LTO which shall be recorded with the registration of
the vehicle. Therefore, each vehicle needs to have its own EWD set and
it
is not possible to transfer EWD sets between vehicles. The registration
of
a vehicle will not be processed if an EWD conforming to these new
standards
is not presented. Motorcycles are exempt from the EWD requirement.

Failure to erect an EWD when a vehicle is disabled shall subject the
driver
to a P300 fine and a 30-day suspension of the driver's license. Should
the
failure to erect an EWD at the scene of a disabled vehicle cause an
accident, the driver's license can be suspended for up to two years or
permanently revoked depending on the gravity of the accident caused.

Pwede bang parehong red yung EWD? Noong binili ko ito ay per piece lang at wala pang yellow, CATS Eye yung reflector kaya super bright kapag tinamaan ng ilaw.

try mo nelany kasi di pare pareho yung EWD inspection process sa LTO offices. Me iba maluwag na tipong quick look lang sa EWD tapos meron iba talagang todo check. In the event na di ubra, manghiram ka na lang dun sa mga nagbebenta ng TPL Insurance. Meron dun panigurado. Abutan mo na lang ng P20.

president GMA made a surprise visit to LTO kanina I saw in the news. Nagconduct daw sya ng visit to check the anomaly na sinumbong sa kanya..

ayun pinagalitan yung ogag na mga taga LTO lalo na nung nalaman nya yung Racket ng LTO sa pagbenta ng EWD na LTO approved kuno.
