Guys FYI penalty for not having an early warning device is 5k based on DOTC JAO 2014-01, learned this the hard way ng ma apprehend ng LTO sa Bayombong N. Viscaya.

And driving without license is 1.5k. Bunch of geniuses.

I better buy one... I gave my EWD to my brother. 500 is way to cheap compared to 5,000.

Tsinetsek din ba ng LTO kung EWD equipped ang vehicle during vehicle registration renewal?

Kasi yung sasakyan namin renewed last Thursday, merong nakalagay dun sa OR sa ilalim ng gross weight [left side] na

"1997 EWD 0318422" [should have been 1998 siguro since yun year nung vehicle]

Yung last year na renewal, wala naman nakalagay.

I just bought this EWD, and very, very cheap... P250 only. There is a better one worth 500, but I don't like it because it's bulky. Now, I can drive peacefully... I wonder why it's not a standard equipment for new cars?

Parang ganito lang, hindi mo huhulihin mga nagbebenta ng yosi sa isang area, pero mumultahin mo ang tao pag may makita ka mag yosi sa same area na yun.

I'm a cheapskate... so I'll just put the red one and the yellow one on each side if that's the case. Of course, that is not the way it should be done. I guess I'll have to agree on this, so to be safe at all sides.

Ang swerte mo naman

Dito sa Bayombong pag bago ang sasakyan mo wala silang pakialam yung mga old vans, motorcycles, cars, delivery trucks lang laging pinapara.

What's the proper way to set up EWD? Pag one way ang alam ko Red first then yellow behind your vehicle hinde ko na alam kung ilang meters pagitan, tantyanhan na lang. Pag two way ginagawa ko sa harap yun isa and sa likod yun isa, ewan ko kung tama.

I'm sure marami din hinde alama tamang set up ng EWD.

Kung sino may alam ng proper way, educate us please.

Mas ideal if may 3 kang EWD. Sa harap kasi dapat 2 at isa sa likod on a 2 way lane. Read those among truckers. Pero dito kasi 2 pcs lang required.

You are at a "disadvantage" if you follow the correct distance of your EWD, as you have said, it might be stolen. The one who taught me how to set it up said that I should place it "near" me so that I can easily see it and no one will attempt to take it.
