Double Renewal of Registration

Hello

I would like to ask advise regarding an issue with our car registration

When we tried to renew registration for one of our cars, Caloocan LTO advised us that it was already renewed last month in San Juan, which is impossible as we always register in Caloocan.

Anyone have any idea what is happening and if we should be concerned?

We are afraid there might be some hocus pocus, scam or whatever issue that they would pin on us as legitimate owners of the car.

it is a 2006 honda civic

my recommendation is to go to san juan and ask.
my fear is that someone might have hijacked your car's identity.

is there a possibility that someone got hold of your ownership papers?

no po, all docs are safely in our office

also, the renewed registration still lists us as the owner

all our ownership details the same in the OR, it is just we did not renew registration for it

one possibility is,
LTO made a mistake.
if you do not renew now as a result of this "new information" and LTO eventually corrects it,
you will simply have to pay twice.

errr,
can you get from them a document that says your car is already renewed for the year?
without it kasi, it'll be your word against theirs, and you might have to pay the late reg. penalty.

Baka nga lang na typo si lto tapos yung car owner hindi na nag double check... or sinadya kasi member sila ng carnapping syndicate, palit plaka and all car details... para mabenta na agad, sasabihin sa customer na kakarenew lang...

im sure ma trace yan pero depende din sa LTO, alam mo naman pag goverment worker, easy2 lang and chill2 lang sila... [emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787]

baka sabihin nila sayo, okay na yan sir registered na yung sayo ang may problema jan yung nagpa register na mali pala ang naibigay, tapos to make lto easy way out, bibigyan ka ng copy ng registration mo... mamaya na nila proproblemahin if darating na yung nabigyan ng mali na registration details...
