Yesterday's traffic was bad along c5 northbound, from bagong ilog to ipi, for a sunday.

This morning, however, my wife's travel time was faster. Southbound sya from ipi to lanuza was light to moderate lang.

    Kamusta experience nyo?

I saw Katipunan to C-5 Libis was slow moving, but moving. We'll have to give this a week or so for the traffic to really adjust (including light settings).

Yes yung White Plains to Libis very slow moving but pass Greenmeadows ayos naman. As usual traffic sa Bagong Ilog so nothing new there. So far, so good...

mas ok para sa akin yung ginawa nilang ganito kaysa dati na e.g. galing julia vargas then sasakop ng 2-3 lanes sa pagliko just to make it dun sa uturn at the same time eliminates the tamad discipline ng mga drivers na pumila ng isang lane para maguturn na nagreresulta na gumamit ng 3 lanes at naiiwan madalas ang outer lane nalang para sa mga dumideretso.

Medyo matagal lang yung red if you're turning left towards Green Meadows from IPI and mabilis lang ang green. Bukas try ko mag-left sa Lanuza baka faster even with the J Vargas and Ortigas stoplights on the way.

So far so good though. Less stress umilag sa u-turn slots.

Generally speaking, my travel time was cut short, nagkakaroon lang ng build up as you approach the C5/Lanuza Ave intersection and all the way to bagong ilog flyover although lagi naman talagang may build up dyan as you approach the fly over. My usual morning commute is from Libis to BGC area

sa Q. Ave balik na din mga traffic lights. kailangan lang adjust yung traffic light coming from timog going to west ave. wala pang 5 secs red na agad so ang bilis ng build up/

U-turn generally should be ok, bobo lang gumamit tayo, three lanes na-occupy dahil gusto maka una then pagka uturn lalo na mga PUJs ayaw muna dumi resto dito sa inner lane then saka na lang mag merge slowly after ilan meters to go doon sa outer, ang ginagawa pag ka uturn diretso na doon sa outer lane, parang naging dalawang left turns ginagawa ng mga gago

Haven't tried it yet baka later or tomorrow pa. Pareho kasing may pros and cons:

Pag stoplight, pansin ko sobrang babagal kasi gumalaw ng mga Pinoy pag starting from full stop ang andar. I noticed that people don't make much effort to cross stoplights right away (parang bahala na kayong mga nasa likod ko) lalo na pag may evident na stop and go traffic.

Pag u-turn slots, weakness ng Pinoy ang merging lanes. Common Pinoy mentality: Take the widest u-turn possible by using up to 3 lanes (kahit generally kaya naman gawin to in one lane even with a large car) of the opposite direction then swerve the heck into the next corner to turn right.

We'll see. I did prefer the days way back before those elevated u-turns were constructed. Mas gusto ko pa ung stoplight nalang dati ung Kalayaan-C5 intersection.

Miss ko to... Rezing-rezing pag ikaw ang nasa unahan ng stoplight... tapos haharangan ka ng mga motorbike.

If ever, the stoplights should help fix the Eastwood area build-up. However, the bottleneck at the narrow Bagong Ilog Flyover and Kalayaan elevated U-turns (gash they should demolish that) remains.

Since tinanggal na ang Lanuza, Vargas and Green Meadow u-turns theoretically clear path na all the way from the Green Meadows stoplight to the Lanuza stoplight

noticed 10-15mins time savings this morning as compared to the daily grind when those improperly placed u-turns are still there. gaya nga ng mga nasabi na: madami dami na drivers eh kung maka eskwala eh kelangan swapangin ang 3 lanes tapos swapangin din yung kabilang lanes sa pagswerve palabas. coming from katipunan, i noticed the very long queue line (inner lane) going left to citibank libis. mukhang matagal nga switch ng traffic signals to green for those taking a left turn. sa tingin ko hindi magtatagal babalik na rin yung mga eskwala masters at mag swapang sa middle lanes para makapagleft turn pag berde ng signal.

Maybe 20mins saved one way for me. Will be better when they fix the pot holes and when the drainage work is completed. I cant complain so far

For my 12 noon call time for today's duty, i left Marikina at around 10:20am. Arrived at BGC exactly 11am! So far so good. I once in a while check the MMDA Interaksyon site and everything is light to moderate most of the time the whole afternoon.

Coming from Masinag, simply frozen chaos. I took EA Rodriguez Ave and traveled a snails pace before taking Calle Industria, then to Eastwood where I work. That took an hour. Grrrr! Morning traffic hassle talaga.

The routes around Eastwood was changed to accomodate the new traffic scheme. I'll try the C5 route when feasible.

Okay naman so far. I think every year ata nila yan inaayos.

Sa Katipunan naman, nilagyan nila ng stop light pero its not working yet. andun parin mga notorious U-turn slots na still causing major traffic because of the Blue Eagles' rides... Siguro solution dito Skyway haha.

Sa Bagong ilog flyover, I think they need to build a bigger bridge, then demolish the elevated U-turn in Kalayaan and construct an interchange! yan naman talaga kailangan duon nung simula palang. Nagtipid kasi for sure, ayan tuloy karambola ang traffic.

The remaining legacy of the Bayani Fernando era, the dreaded U-turn slot. Either you love it or hate it.

How's traffic in c5 now that uturn slots have been replaced by traffic lights?
