Be advised that Ayala Land Inc. through it’s construction arm Makati Development Company (MDC) will now commence construction of the Glorietta 5 access ramp on January 21, 2008, Monday up to April 30, 2008.
In lieu of this major construction project, certain main roads in the Makati Central Business district will be closed to all vehicular traffic on January 21 Monday commencing at 10.00PM to 6.00AM every day until project is completed in April 2008.
Roads to be closed are indicated below :
Half of Hotel Drive in front of the Intercontinental Hotel will be fenced off to make way for the new ramp construction.
Ayala Center Vehicular traffic will be rerouted with entry from EDSA-Ayala Avenue diverted to East Drive between Rustan’s and the Glorietta 5 project between 9am – 5pm and 7pm – 10pm and to Highway Drive behind Hotel Intercontinental Hotel.
Ayala Center at Hotel Drive will now be made to turn left at East Drive during specified hours or make a U-turn towards Highway Drive. The two lanes of traffic exiting from Hotel Drive into Ayala Avenue will be reduced to one lane.
Ayala Center management has made the necessary arrangements for the installation of traffic signs as well as the deployment of additional traffic aides for the rerouting scheme.
Ayala Center patrons are likewise encouraged to consider entering the area through Arnaiz Avenue (formerly Pasay Road) and Makati Avenue access points.
