Read in today's papers that certain world leaders will be staying in different hotels, including EDSA Shangri-La...so the traffic mayhem will not be limited to CCP-NAIA area. There's also the possiblity of using signal jammers at those venues, so di lang trapik, pati cell apektado.

Even if the govt declares no work for public and private, me mga papasok pa rin eg call centers. i just hope it won't be as bad as i'm imagining it to be.

long term lease ginawa nila, i heard 50 years. kanya-kanyang lease yung mga hinayupak na government/pols. i'll bet mababa lang lease rate.
may 2 lang yata na hindi occupied cause those are in a bad state.

expect that traffic will grind at halt as convoys and the security retinue of heads of state pass by. at least two weeks before, their security details are already in place. i think it's ambassador marciano paynor who's the director general of the APEC 2015 National Organizing Council. he's very good. pma class 72 (mistah of gringo and lacson). left the military with the rank of ltcol, then joined the foreign service. chief protocol officer during ramos and arroyo administrations. former consul general of san franciso, california. he was the point man during the state visit of the Pope, and the recently concluded apec ministers meeting. under his stewardship, am sure this apec summit will be successful and won't be as stressful to everyone. It really is difficult to strike a balance between security and convenience. so expect that the latter be at the backseat for the time being.

Read on the 'net that ISIS is claiming responsbility for the recent plane crash in Egypt, and sent Putin a warning about payback. Expect paranoid-level security there when he drops by.

Edsa to be closed 30 mins for each Apec VIP convoy - Motioncars | Motioncars

A long stretch of Edsa—from Mandaluyong to Pasay—will be closed to general traffic for about 30 minutes every time a VIP delegation in the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (Apec) Summit needs to pass through, from Nov. 17 to 20.

“The full closure is needed because our visitors have protocols in their security. They are used to a certain amount of security, leniency and flexibility,” Almendras in a press briefing on Wednesday.
If this happens, it's an Carmageddon all over again. Just imagine how many VIPs are there at 30 minutes each kahit holiday pa. Hay Abnoy, makapagyabang lang sa mga world leaders, kahit magdusa si Juan dela Cruz. Really autistic, living on his own world.

Wala pa atang na release na rerouting ng mga bus route. Along roxas blvd ako nakatira kaya wala akong balak mag dala ng sasakyan during apec. Baka lalo akong di maka pasok at uwi.

the holding of the APEC summit here does tell us something-- Philippines isn't Somalia or Afghanistan. to say that it's a big event is an understatement. leaders of the world's super powers and of the free world will be coming here plotting the course of humanity in the years to come. our government is preparing for this as early as two years ago.
you know, i'd be very proud if the chief executive and his cabinet would hold their meeting in my bahay kubo.
