I totally agree. Driving tests and licensing procedures overseas are vastly different from the Philippines. In Manila, people misconstrue reckless driving to jostle for positioning in the streets as "ma-diskarte." I always thought that the fastest way to declog Manila traffic is by making everyone retake a proper licensing examination. I can imagine at least 50% of drivers would have their licenses revoked.
Bro,- I beg to disagree naman.
Sa aking pananaw at limited experience driving for many months in the US,- if you can drive here in Manila,- you can drive anywhere in the world (assuming driving in the US and Canada are practically the same).....
Very minor adjustments in driving habits, IMO (merging, changing lanes, four-way stop, pedestrian crossing) to name a few. Just follow the rules of the road and you're in great shape. I know of a few people who could not drive here in Manila, but are driving okay in the US.
Also, about 10 engineers from our company, including myself, passed the DMV written and practical exams on the first try.
IMO,- mas mahirap mag-drive sa mga keep-left(RHD) na bansa. Drove in Indonesia for a few weeks. M/T pa ito....I am thinking all the time that I have to be "on the wrong side of the road,- always"...

:bwahaha: kala ko ako lang nag kaka ganyan. stayed in new zealand for 1 1/2 months and drove daily, 9 out of 10 times i approach the car parating nasa kabilang side kaya tawa ng tawa pinsan ko na laki don. sabi sa akin tagal ko na nag drive don mali pa din pinupuntahan kong side pag sasakay sa kotse. pero never naman na punta sa kabilang side ng kalsada while driving. i guess when driving i pay attention more because i'm afraid to end up on the wrong side of the road.
PH driving is largely tantiyahan in the absence of a roadcode. Yan ang mother doc sa ibang bansa where all licensing and road rules are based. Wala kasing pera diyan sa pag-update nung atin, alam nyo na ang Congress pag ala kita babagalbagal until some event happens.

Strong rains yesterday on NLEX meant nagsilabasan na naman yung mga hazard boys.
True enough, tail lamps alone offer limited visibility, but the sight of a whole stretch of highway filled with blinking lights was dangerously confusing.
Mas ok pa yung naka-RFL. Got to take this pic of a Crosswind with his flashers side by side with my tito's BMW na naka-RFL.

Suck my 155 watts
Pinaka misconception ang 'zero visibility'. Edi sana nagsi-tigil lahat sa gilidPoor visibility yon. yung iba naman nago-on ng hazard lights pero sige pa rin ang weaving in-and-out sa traffic hay
Last Saturday along SLEX towards Santa Rosa, I flashed a black EK Civic hogging the overtaking lane since I was ready to pass and he's definitely below 100. He moved to let me pass but he immediately went to my tail continuously flashing his headlights. I moved out of the overtaking lane to let him pass but he kept following me to whatever I go while continuously flashing. I had my family with me so I just kept my cool but in my head I was already yelling "what an IDIOT!". He probably didn't even know that he got flashed because what he was doing was wrong. Dumba*s.

Whenever I use the expressways, I stay on the rightmost lane. It's faster there than on the innermost lanes. Mahilig magbabad mga Pinoy drivers sa leftmost lanes. Ignoramuses.
I observe these more often on weekends than weekdays. I don't even bother to flash them, it's a waste of time. I just overtake on their right. If you intend to use the rightmost lane, please don't flash the slow ones there to move aside. Kabastusan na yun. They are there for a reason.

pag ganyan.. intindihin nyo na lang sila.. wag na iinit ulo.. kung ayaw umalis.. ikaw na umiwas.. marami kasing drivers marunong lang magpa andar nang sasakyan.. pero hindi alam ang mga road rules and kulang sa courtesy.. just a waste of time kung papatulan mo pa..
Correct. Hindi ko na sya pinatulan but I posted the story because I hope that black EK driver is a member here para matuto naman na Mali Ang Ginawa Nya para next time Hindi na nya ulitin.
