    you mean the gas variant 2.7 vvti will also have 5 AT? toyota thai does not have 5AT for gas variant AFAIK. thinking of getting the gas version within the month. do you guys think there is a very noticeable advantage over the 4 AT in terms of acceleration? how about interior design upgrades or the rear disc brakes?

    2.7 vvt-i will retain the same 4 speed a/t.

    Only the 3.0 D-4D and 2.5 VNT D-4D will be getting the extra gear, making it 5 speed a/t.

    I have read somewhere that this 5 speed is actually the same as the current 4 speed except it has been added with a lower 1st gear, like the Prado.
