Meron pa rin chattel sa bank. Lower nga lang, in my case -- different car, though -- 25k ang chattel sa inhouse, then insurance sa inhouse is 26k pero pag dating ko sa bank, 14k lang ang chattel & 22k ang insurance.

Then yung interest for 5 years is around 27-28% depende kung anong gusto mo, compared sa in house.. 30++

Yes, definitely. Kaya lang talaga wala na ibibigay sayo na free insurance & what not. Kasi, hinde naman talaga free yun eh. Sa taas ng interest mo binabayaran mo rin siya.

Any diesel has the usual clatter and vibration associated with the engine. But in the Fortuner's case, its barely noticeable.

Kung pinagusapan ang tipid sa FC, 4x2 D-4D M/T ang pinakamatipid.

Pinakamahaba ang pila ay 4x2 diesel A/T (unless gusto mo mag manual trans - faster queue). 4x2 VVT-i and 4x4 D-4D also have quicker queues.

wala na sa choices ang MT kasi wife ko gagamit 70% of the time. white kasi talaga like niya and mahirap hanapin sa ngayon. nakakita bank namin ng diesel AT na white thats why i posted here to be sure. inip na kasi wife ko. 4x2 automatics lang talaga options namin.
by the way, did you mean barely noticeable and ingay ng engine ng diesel ngayon? kasi yung 2010 fortuner ng pinsan ko medyo maingay. parang typical diesel engines.

wow i swear i never thought of that. ang galing ng computation mo. 5 years is pretty decent. this is really something to consider. tapos considering maintenance costs within that 5 years mukhang ok din pala vvti contrary to initial impressions. sir can you illustrate kahit simple computation lang po it might really help us decide. i want to argue with some people hehe, dami kasi ayaw ng vvti eh. this is good.

kung sa ingay naman sir hindi maingay pag nasa loob ka na eh. masarap i drive, parang gas humatak, di naman mabagal eh, matulin din naman. tapos mas tipid pa D-4D, di naman ganun kalaki ang difference sa PMS compared to the VVT-i.

I agree. You can barely hear the sound of the diesel engine when you'r inside the car. Maganda ang sound insulation ng Fortuner.

Thanks. Opted for the AT d4d na. Its a waiting game na naman sana makalabas in a few days. Anyone care to share basic mods for the fort specially d4d's? And which ones could void warranty?

sirs, tanong ko lang. first time na gumamit ako ng fortuner. just bought a second hand 2006 2.5g diesel na fortuner. drove it going to tagaytay a few days ago, hangang 120kph lang yung top speed nya. kaya pa ba tumaas nun? also, may time nabitin ako paakyat sa isang inclined road sa tagaytay. nung nag shift ako sa 1 hirap pa rin engine kahit naka todo na yung pedal. related po ba ito sa problem nung mga unang labas na units regarding the fuel pump or injector? or baka madumi na fuel filter? thanks po for your help.

Lahat pwede maka-void ng warranty. You replace the HU, void. You replace your horns, void. You replace your HU, void. You tinker something sa engine, void. You replace your headlight bulbs, void. Etc. etc.

Ang hindi lang makaka-void kapag nag-add ka ng accessories such as chin, headlight/tail light garnish etc. etc.
