Whoa! katakot yan!! mukhang flavor of the month ng mga pathetic spare tire thieves ang fort!..

madalas pa naman ang fort namin sa makati ngaun.. Mga sir mag kano ang baging spare lock ng spare tire ngaun? any reputable brands to look for?? its better to buy one now bago pa kami ma biktima!

Dapat siguro mag-upgrade car alarm system aside from TVSS ba yun sa toyota lagyan ng heavy duty chain lock

We both park in a secured office building at the corner of herrera and ayala. We still haven't established the exact date we lost the tires and we are not certain if it did occur in the building. My car has been in the garage since sunday coz my family and I flew to boracay. I only drove it to work today. My wife only recalls taking the car to Shang mall, megamall and greenhills during the past week. I know our tires are covered by the insurance but to save ourselves the hassle in the future I advice everyone to get a decent lock for the spare tires.

BTW, the chains are in one piece and so is the bracket. I don't know how they did it but they did. HASSLE!

I think those thieves went down under and turned the knob that can lower the bracket, to access the spare. I dont know if putting at least a padlock on the bracket, would have at least delayed (if they had a bolt cutter) or detered them (if they dont have a bolt cutter).

Go to the nearest Toyota dealer and buy a Toyota branded solex spare tire lock for the IMV series. It cost around Php 3K+ (i forget already how much I spent for it last year).
