Hi. Meron ba sa inyo nakaranas na habang tumatakbo biglang mamatay buong electrical power?
My wife just came back home telling me, while she was driving everything powered off, as in buong power, radio, wiper suddenly just shut down.

She tried to start it 5 times until if turned back on... Kakatakot lang baka mangyari uli sa susunod.

vios 2002 1.5 G
30k mileage.
Yung battery napalitan lang last year.

By the way, dati pinalitan ko yung battery nyan last year or 2 years ago. Mali ang polarity so pumutok yung main fuse as in lahat nawalan ng power.
Napalitan naman namin pero yung sariling gawa lang and never had a problem since then, until now. Ito kaya ang dahilan? Pero I doubt it kasi nagstart naman uli e.

Check mo main fuse uli baka maluwag o tunaw na. To be safe have a reputable auto electrical shop check it out.

Checked my battery and the clamp is missing, di kinabit uli ng mekaniko after ko pinacheckup at change oil last week. Hindi naka secure yung battery Maari nakalog yung while she was driving

I seem to recall a time na nalubak ako ng matindi namatay ang makina (long time ago AE101). Maluwag lang din ang terminals.

Put the clamp back on. All that bouncing around won't do your battery a lot of good.

Nag-PM na ulit saakin si abnoy sa AEP re: my inquiry about the rear foglights he's selling. Was asking if included na lahat nung kailangan sa package na 3.5k, hindi pa daw.

socket and bulb lang talaga. switch 5.5k, harness around 4-6k. thanks!

My 1.3E AT is getting a low of 8.7 to a high of 9.4 in 5% highway (C5) 95% city (Makati) driving with occasional birit when the road opens up. Other AT owners are getting 10 or more.

My 1.5G returned 12.9km/l early this morning. My route is Project 4, aurora-edsa-mc arthur highway <--- which the latter has a bitchy traffic due to crater packed roads because my office is in Valenzuela city. That also included a short lunch out trip from office to SM Valenzuela and back. Yours should improve sir. I bet that still is a green engine.

as per MID, i give about 10-15% less on accuracy of the MID, but im sure im consuming in around 10km/l no less that's for sure.

Sir, check on your alternator. Pag umaandar na ang oto, kahit matanggal pa ang battery, it should not power off. Starting and accessory powers while engine off lang naman ang function ng battery, once it is moving, it is the alternator who's doing the job.

mura yung fogs nya, 4.5K ang socket+bulb+casing OEM ng fogs sa casa, stalk? bumili ka na lang pang 1.5G i-tap mo sa front ang RFL mo, para tipid pero OEM look. if maswerte ka, hanap ka total wreck na Yaris sa insurance lot, pa karne mo ang stalk switch nya kasi meron sya OEM RFL :p
btw, si abnoy ang nagtitinda ng 17" Yaris TS mags for 55k a set. hehehe

Palit ka nalang din ng HU na may AUX/USB function. Kuha ka nung dashkit tulad kay SG.

Or palitan mo ng 2-din mas maganda.

Akala ko nga kapag nagpakabit ng HU si SG tatanggalin yun stock Aux-IN. Hinde pala. Nandun lang daw, eating up space, hindi naman gumagana. Haha!

10.x during off peak hours / city driving using Caltex Gold. Pero sa digital display yan not sure how accurate.

Tanong na din:

1. ano magandang lubricant for power window? Have tried using Elevo pero nagkakaroon ng smudge pag tagal.
2. Lubricant ba dapat o wd40 para sa door lock mechanism (nasa gilid ng door)? pagkakaalam ko kc ang wd40 is grease cutter.

Yung sa window rubber channel, pwedeng silicone oil.
