Ano gamit niyo tires sa mga vios niyo??
Currently using Goodyear GT3, lagpas 30T kms na, kailangan ko na palitan. Looking for other brands/models.
Ang nakita ko is Goodyear Duraplus, 3k ea.
yokohama equivalent tire specs cost the same with the above
one thing i learned here is its not worth it to get an expensive tire due to rampant road debris (wood nails) on the street that would only prematurely retire a good expensive tire...
here's a little guide for you below.. in my opinion, get a tire from a country which has the same weather as ours...
World Tire Manufacturers and Tires, Rubber Information Network-Shinichi Kato Office
i would if the price is right... unfortunately the cost of production in the Philippines is more expensive than sourcing it abroad due to VERY HIGH Electricity cost on our own country
back to topic... i been using yokohama a-drive, got it at 3000/ea, its my first time to buy new tires, the factory installed ones were goodyear GT3 that lasted 25t KM * 3 years, 75% worn out... read some reviews before buying the new said tire above says that goodyear GT3 were not good thats why i go for the yokohama a-drive
but if you ask me now, i go for the Champiro by Gajah Tunggal of indonesia...
Mga boss, sorry kung OT, saan po ba OK magpalinis ng interior ng Vios natin? Nasukaan ung backseat eh, tapos natiyempuhan na wala pang seat cover.
Preferably near Mandaluyong area.
Salamat!

Any specifics you can suggest?
Nakakuha kasi ako good deal * 3.2k ea yung goodyear assurance triple max. May 1 year road hazard warranty pa hehe.
How about GT radial Champiro GTX 650? Federal SS657?
I've seen bad reviews online pero yung iba kasi nag rerezing rezing, eh tayo daily commuter lang.
actually... yes.Originally Posted by ;2706084

bullets have a rather large cross-sectional area. that is why kevlar can stop them.
nails, especially sharp-tipped nails of small caliber, have a much smaller cross-sectional area, just like the needles that are used to sew kevlar fabric into consumer goods. these needles (small, sharp-tipped nails) do not have to break thru the strong kevlar fibers. they just have to shoo aside the kevlar fibers, to penetrate the layer. i am sure, we have all seen just how sharp the nails still are, when they are removed by the tire man. so unlike the mushroomed bullets after they hit the vest.
also, bullets always slow down once they leave the barrel. the remaining force is distributed by the kevlar around it, dispersing the energy and stopping the bullet.
sharp nails being driven in by the asphalt, and sharp-tipped knives being pushed forward by the assailant's arm, do not lose that energy when they are used against (kevlar) products. so even if the kevlar manages to disperse the initial energy upon contact, there is still more energy being delivered behind it.
kevlar tires may be more puncture resistant than non-kevlar tires, but not altogether puncture-proof. and, if i daresay, they are better against larger road materiel and not smaller nails.
btw... how expensive are these kevlar tires, compared to non-kevlar tires?

Kevlar stops bullets by spreading the force, this works well for pistols but not rifle bullets. Those bullets are pointy and designed to penetrate, much like nails. Haha.
Anyway, it's a good addition.
Regarding the durability, I also have 5 years on my current tire, for 30T km mostly city driving, never had a flat tire. But one time I noticed that every week the tires deflate. When I inspect the tire, there are two big-a** nails. I just had it vulcanized and doing still doing fine.
Confession: Di pa din ako marunong mag palit ng gulong, in case mabutasan ako. Huwag naman sana
Dun sa rattling when braking, maingay ba talaga? I noticed kasi na pag step ko sa brake, ramdam ko vibration sa pedal. Siguro sensitive lang ako, kasi minsan naka medyas lang ako pag nag di-drive haha.
They said that if your tires got damaged by any road hazard i.e. nails, they will replace the tire with a new one. :D
Yup!
Assurance Duramax and Triplemax.
Nga pala, nag palit na ba kayo brake pads? Going 6 years na kotse * 40T KMs + na.
Should I replace na? Bendix lang siguro ok na, nasa magkano kaya?
do a visual inspection first of the brake pads / shoes, use a caliper to measure if still within specifications... years of use and KM reading is not a basis for replacing brake pads... its for brake fluid that needs scheduled replacements...
do you observe vibration or slight grinding when stepping on the brake pedal while the brake pads are still within specs? then apply brake pad lubrication / grease on contact points of the brake pad / shoe housing
The Goodyear Assurance Duraplus/Triplemax plays at around 3k/ea for the 14".
Ito yung nakalagay sa website.
DuPont™ Kevlar® Overlay
Used in military grade equipment, DuPont™ Kevlar® is a lightweight material that maintains stiffness and strength even under high temperature conditions when the tire is in motion, giving drivers’ added protection against road hazards.
