Hassle talaga pag walang manual ... can anyone tell me what is the small black button labeled "O/D" on the shifter on my '05 AT? It is right below the big shift button sa cambio. There is also a small black button labeled "Shift Lock" on the console below the cambio? Para saan din ito? same function as the big button?

Since I can't drive, di ko ma-test... but I just get curious everytime I sit in the front passenger seat.

OD means OverDrive which is your top (in our case 4th) gear. Clicking the switch off forces the tranny (within reason) to downshift increasing the revs for overtaking or climbing or engine braking. You get the same effect by shifting from D to 3 or 2.

Shift lock unlocks the kambyo from P when the engine is off. Useful for pushing the car short distances without having to start the engine.

Many thanks for your reply. So the O/D button should be engaged/on, by default? And disengaged, when you want to downshift?

Correct. It should be ON by default. My '95 Lancer had one. Galants of that age also had one. Current transmissions are smart enough to downshift when prodded or floored.

share ko lang ang ginawa ko para di dumulas ang matting sa carpet. I bought 3M Velcro with strong adhesive at Ace hardware. I use only the Velcro "hook" as shown picture below and stick this to reverse side of every corner of my matting. Voila! my matings are now fixed...

Nice idea sir since the velcro hook will add friction to the floor and matting! Will try this first on my universal matting.

Once nakadikit na yung velcro hook sa reverse side ng matting, yung velcro hook na ang didikit sa carpet mo.
so naka fixed na ito. No friction whatsoever. Make sure to clean using alcohol the reverse side of your matting before sticking the velco.. goodluck sir

I was also thinking about the above solution but hesitant. Now that you have tried it I think it must be effective. Was also considering nomad mat.
