Got stuck from 7-9 AM on Mindanao Ave between Tandang Sora and NLEX, endured Holy Thursday NLEX traffic to SCTEX, 120 kph to Subic, arrived in Bataan 3PM. Only made a 30 minute lunch stop at Total NLEX. No problems.

It doesn't have a normal temp gauge. Just a light that will turn red when your engine's about to go BOOM! Pero CMIIW most cars at this price range don't have temp gauges as well. Iba nga dyan walang relo

So far I had a noisy compressor (freon overcharged after binawasan nawala onti tunog) and currently a tik-tik-tik sound from the front wheels while maneuvering in tight areas (which I'll have checked on my 10k PMS or earlier kung lumala). And their free seat covers are CRAP!

I have a friend who's in the market for a new car with a budget of about 500k whereabouts, sabi ko sa kanya no brainer na yan, Vios ka na, pero ayaw nya kesyo taxi daw etc etc. Now he's eyeing for the Kia Rio LX, sinamahan ko pa this afternoon sa Kia dealer, I'm not impressed, mas mahal na nga sa Vios J tapos harap lang ang power windows??? Come on.

In my impression, the Rio's interior was thoughtfully done. I commend Kia for it. But the exterior, amF*angit!

I'm all go with the Vios, I'd take it over than the Altis really. Such a nice sensible car with no fuss.

Everyday, I see one near my home, except stocks with 17inch mags. It looks like an exquisite lady. Di sya feeling taxi.

+1 on this. Yung nga seat cover na pasunod sa vios (8 months old) ko sira na pareho yung sa front seats. Tinanggal ko na lang mas gumanda pa tuloy yung interior ng vios ko.

For me, the NEW Rio in Sedan form is handsome. Ang gusto ko is the bulky body where it doesn't look like a compact sedan anymore. However, I miss the frugality of the 1.3 Vios. I don't know how the new rio is performing in the fuel consumption dept. but if the 2010 facelift is any indication, it will not beat the Vios.

This has been discussed quite lengthily before. http://tsikot.com/forums/toyota-cars...ds-open-70632/

My take is that its just an urban legend. My newer 2012 Altis engine bay seems hotter even as compared to my LPG'd 2007 Altis.

On the Altis engine sludge, as long as it's maintained properly, no problem as well.

We have a 2010 Vios E 1.3 AT. Treat it nice, and it will love you back. Gets the job done everytime. No regrets on this car!

wala kasing temperature gauge yung Vios, . taxi drivers don't have an idea kung gaano na kataas yung temp. kaya binubuksan na lang yung para madisperse na rin agad yung heat

Pansin ko lang sa vios namin di comfortable yung seats lalo na yung sa likod, not recommended sa long drives, pang city ok lang

Yep the seats took some getting use to. Tagal ko nakahanap ng comfy driving position. Nasanay kasi sa Lancer at Corolla na medyo reclined ang seating.

i agree with *washburn. ang reference ko lang when riding the vios is when i take a cab. pag sa likod ako naka-upo hindi komportable. parang feeling ko lumulubog ako sa upuan sa sobrang lambot, and this is not in a good way. tapos yung headrest sa likod masyadong naka-extend. haven't tried the front seats though, and di ko rin alam kung eto ba eh sa taxi-spec vios lang or pareho sa higher variants.

Same here, the seating position for the driver just plain sucks. I have no idea where Toyota got the driver ergonomics for that.

Toyota Vios- Ok ba no problem?
