City 1.5 CVT is good but not Mirage-level. 8 km/L in heavy traffic and 16+ on the highway at 100-120 kph.

I could do 7-8 km/L in heavy traffic with the current Vios, and also 16 km/L if I stick to 100 kph with a light foot.

I already read it.. but of course, IMO, baka kulang pa yung story na naipost ng Autoindustriya.com. I am just asking here or even Wilcats if there are any more changes aside from the engine update and an official launch will validate it.

I am referring to this one: (http://www.autoindustriya.com/auto-i...-thailand.html) if TMPC will also have auto climate control for higher end models and other additional features across all models.

So the 1NR-FE (1.3) has 97 hp while the 2NR-FE (1.5) only has 104 hp?

I understand that paper figures aren't reflective of powerbands and gear ratios, but for people who aren't car nuts, it'll be hard selling an extra 7 horsepower for a 100k difference. [emoji848]

I would get the 1.3L its punchy on the avanza according to indonesias. Imagine that on the 7spd cvt. 😆

Vios price seems to be too much. 1.3E cvt is at the same price of a 1.5E Honda City cvt and the 1.5G is 40,000 pesos away from a G variant Altis.

    Hi all, good afternoon.

Any info on the FC of the Vios 1.3 A/T CVT?

I'm having a hard time deciding whether to get the vios or the Hyundai Accent A/T CRDI 1.6E+ 7-DCT sedan.

Here in Cebu - the vios 1.3 a/t is around 780K , accent is around 835K (both after discounts)

I've read here that the engine and FC of the accent is great in its category, however, i have not read any feedback yet for the new dual vvti cvt engines of the vios.

The accent is kind-off bare though for both exterior & interior (the units sold here doesn't have any fog lamps, basic stereo receiver w/o bluetooth, etc...) I know your paying more for the tech of the diesel engine, but it would also mean that i would spend more money on the entertainment section (better audio system, fog lights, garnishing)

Hopefully someone can give me some feedback on the Vios 1.3 a/t CVT's fuel consumption.

    TIA

I was considering the CRDI Accent as well previously but I agree, it's pretty bare, even the latest TOTL model. The previous CRDI Accent TOTL were good but the current ones are just not up to par anymore.

Really hoping someone would report on the FC figures of the new Dual VVTi engines. If it's not a significant improvement, I'll just get the Corolla Altis.

If you can afford the Altis, get the Altis. Even if the new Vios is slightly more efficient, the improvement in power, ride quality, space, and overall image is worth more than the few pesos you save on gas.

Yes, pure city driving. Route is Makati to QC and vice versa. A 20km trip would take me 1.5 to 2 hours so I hope you can imagine how trafic it was. I always make sure that the eco light is on plus ac is always in minimal setting since i am alone most of the time, used to get 9.2km/l.

By the way, mine is a yaris cvt. Problem is after my 1st pms last week (had mineral oil instead of fully synth) i noticed the decrease in power and my fc is down to 8.3km/l.

Haven`t talked to my SA regarding this concern since i am still trying to monitor it and i also just want to know the experience from other users first.

    Thanks!

Factory oil is 5w20 or 5w30

The mineral oil is probably 15w40 or 20w50.

Thats way too thick imo. Ouch

Hi Raviski, that is quite a sudden drop in FC, was the decline gradual? hopefully the Tsikot gurus can give you more insight with the sudden loss of power & FC.

I'm no expert, but switching to full synthetic made our Innova more responsive, the casa also included a diesel injector cleaner w/c i believed helped. Not sure though if FC is affected.

I would suggest looking for a yaris thread here in tsikot or group page/yaris clubs in other social media sites so you can gather more info and advice

Possibly it's the 20W-50 standard/mineral Toyota oil if that's what they placed.

Change is not gradual, felt it right after the 1st pms.

Actually posted this already in the yaris thread but not getting much response so i tried asking here, sorry if i am asking the same questions on several threads.

Medyo madami din nagsasabi sa kin na sa mineral oil kaya humina hatak at fc, my bro in law kc advised me to use fully synth after 10k para daw macheck muna kotse every 3 mos pero im not aware na may ganun pala effect since it is my first time to maintain a bnew car hehe.

Thanks pala sa response mga boss!

Thanks for sharing this info, will keep this in mind during my 1st PMS. How much was the difference in price for the mineral vs full synth oil?
