March 1st, 2017 01:36 AM #12692na-ubos na yung disk brake pad material, kaya yung metal backing na ang kumakagat sa rotor surface.
hindi siguro napuna, na umi-iyak na yung brakes kapag tinatapakan...

Hi People,
I just need your guidance. I am about to acquire a 2012 Innova G that only has 39k on the motor. It was serviced on Toyota casa from day 1 and just did the 40k maintenance. My relative is selling to me for 550k (mura na ba yun?)
Since I am not from Pinas I have no clue where to get stuff for cars so I need your input on the following:
1. Saan magandang magpakabit ng leatherette? I don’t like it to be ripping after a few years. I am after quality.
2. Saan magandang magpakabit ng touchscreen headunit at backup camera? Magkano to sa Innova?
3. Saan magandang magpakabit ng tint. Current tint is not dark enough. Magkano going rate nito ngayon?
4. Magkano palit ng front and rear brakes (rotor/pads, drum/shoes). I rather get this done before I drive it.
5. Magkano oil change ng GAS na Innova?
6. Magkano Transmission Flush ng Innova?
7. Magkano Brake Flush ng Innova?
8. Saan magandang bumili ng accessories? Contact info please.
9. Saan ang magandang body shop to repair damaged panels if ever?
10. Saan mayroon magaling na PDR sa Makati/Paranueque?
11. Saan magandang magpadetail (cut and polish) again sa Makati/Paranuegue area?
12. Saan magandang magpakabit ng floor liners?
Thanks!

March 1st, 2017 09:11 AM #12694whoa, sir !!!
if your relative took reasonable care of that vehicle, most of these to-do thinges may not be necessary.
i suggest, you actually use the vehicle for a while. i suspect you are still under the influence of the new-car bug.
leatherette? i find fabric softer. i have experienced fabric, leather, leatherette. during long drives, fabric feels "less painful".
i normally fix my brakes when "it's time", i.e., pag manipis na. madali namang pa-inspect sa mekaniko, e.
happy motoring, sir.

Just in case i want to know how much those little things are so that I can compare to other cars available online and assume those things needs to be done. I can't see the car personally as I am not in the Philippines so same thing with other cars that I see online which I need to take with a grain of salt when I look at the pictures and assume the worst.

March 1st, 2017 11:58 PM #126991. see if the rotor is still thick enough. there is a limit, beyond which it is not recommended for re-facing.
2. how much will they charge for re-facing? (you get yours back.) how much will they charge for exchange? (they take your rotor and they give you an already-refaced rotor.)
i had mine done in one of the shops along banawe. the rotor alone cost me 600 (or 700?) bucks for the one piece. forgot the total cost, as "may iba pa akong pinagawa". sorry.
