Toyota Innova E or J?

Mga Innova owners help naman to decide, plan ko kasi buy ng Innova M/T at ang choices ko E or J. Iniisip ko kung J ang kukunin ko iyung difference nya sa price sa E, eh pwede ko na pambili ng complete accessories. Any suggestion mga Innova owners? TIA.

i would still go for the e variant.
parang yung price difference would not be enough to buy

a. new rims
b. sidings
c. interior power amenities..

The following you can't buy from banawe:

ABS (safety feature)
Cloth upholstery and door inserts - although you can have an upholstery shop reupholster the J's all vinyl upholstery.

The following you can buy from banawe but it begs the question: why didn't you just go for the E in the first place?

Power windows (shark) - looks and feels cheap, nothing beats factory installed though,
Power door locks - generic lock actuator have inferior quality, nothing beats factory installed though
Mags (stock or aftermarket) - this is easy


I think the price diff bet. the J and E is around 100K. E has bigger discount than J so the price diff is less than 100K. I think its money better spent (getting an E ) than going for a J and having to spend and time to make it look like an E.

Upgrades for J variant:

Anti-lock BrakingSystem (ABS)
Pre-tensioner seatbet/s

All for 11K price increase on the SRP

Upgrades for E variant:
Dual Airbags
Pre-tensioner seatbet/s

All for 6K price increase on the SRP


Pre-tensioner seatbet/s for G and V variants for the 3K increase.

So difference bet. J and E for 2013 are:

Power Windows (E)
Power Door Locks (E)
Partial Cloth Upholstery (E)
Mag wheels (E)

Not bad na kung may ABS. Just slap on Camry-spec 17s and you're good to go

If those options were available last year (ABS), i may have chosen the Innova J over my current Altis E daily driver. Di na ako naghirap maghanap ng OEM 17s.

ano naman po b difference ng E sa G? coz it's almost like karamihan ng necessity sa safety features eh nasa E variant na..ano pa ba ang meron sa G na wala sa E?

The G has Optitron gauges, auto climate control, fog lamps, reverse sensors, rear defogger, door moulding, and upgraded interior materials (beige na dumihin) among others.

I'm not an Innova fanboy pero napansin ko lang that you keep on bashing this particular model kahit saang thread. Can you tell us why?

o kaya naman.. baka yung nabili nyang kotse ay marami syang sakit sa ulo ngayon at nagsisisi sya na sana Innova na lang binili nya..

Nahihirapan itong kotse umakyat ng ramp, kahit na ako lang sa loob. Bad interior quality, although malambot naman yung suspension. Insufficient power, punch only kicks in 3000-4000 RPM. Diesel engine dapat 1800 RPM may power na. Kahit na gasoline engines mas malakas eh. Para itong carbureted 'tong diesel.
