I've only tried OME on the Prado. Shocks alone already gave me a less jarring ride. But then, I basically negated that when I put on bigger rims. Hehehe!

What I heard from a different shop is that the OMEs are softest, or give the softest ride and allow the longest suspension travel. Perfect for the outback where many off road rigs use OME. Downside though is some find it too soft for highway use. Personally, I don't, but then my rig is a city boy, not an offroader.

Bilsteins naman, according to the shop, work better for city drivers. They sort of reduce the play, unlike the OMEs which allow max play, so you're not too bouncy. Ride is firmer vs. the OME. A friend on his '02 Pajero FM got bilsteins for the front. Softer than stock but still not as soft as my OMEs.

Haven't tried Ranchos yet as well. Nice thing about them is that they have the adjustable feature, depending on where you're travelling and what you're loaded with. Nga lang, you'd have to crawl under to get the adjustment done. A friend tried them for his fronts. Even when on the lowest setting, natigasan siya, so I think he went for procomps instead.

    HTH.

    *paul4u2c,
was the vertical clearance that much bigger, or slightly lang (around 1 inch)?
yep same place where they got their Ome's dyan sa katipunan Rats, dito lang kasi kami marikina kaya malapit. inabot din siya ng 50k on all four shocks. mas mahal ang front shocks kesa rear shocks. mga 1inch din ang itinaas, recogniceable agad pag tinabi sa oem hilux tulad ng akin mas mataas yung kanya.

kung ako papipiliin, i'll still go for Rancho, matigas ang inbound pero compensated ng rebound. di ko lang alam kung magkano ang Rancho these days.

Tibay talaga ng hilux. One top reason why I picked this over it's competitors kahit na masmaganda na makina and suspension ng iba.

Problema sa RAPIDE matagal nga break pads mo....ang rotor disk naman ang papalitan mo ng mas madalas....

what I suggest is that buy an OEM part sa labas ng casa...madami namang mga trusted shops dyan na pwede mo bilan without suffering the ridiculous casa pricing... then have it installed nalang to bosch, servitek or any other PMS shop

+1. Casa prices way too high. I've tried Bendix (both the regular and Metal Kings with Titanium stripe) as replacements for my SUV. Perhaps grip is similar to OEM, but it's noisier than OEM. I think it's a bit harsher on the rotors as well.

Something's got to give though. You can't have an grippy brake pad and not expect it to have a relatively shorter lifespan vs. a high mileage pad with just average brake bite.

yes tama ka dyan sir. ok ang bendix ayan ang next best thing to orig oem's. the only thing that is different from the oem orig is yung ingay. lumalangitngit kapag bago or madumi coming from a long rest ng sasakyan. for me oem's pa rin kahit medyo mataas ng onti versus bendix or any other replacement brands, tutal safety naman ang kapalit sa maliit na halaga

and yung sa rapide, oo kakainin nyan ang rotors mo he he minsan pa hindi even ang kain, ang daming sisirain na pyesa as domino effect.

    Sachs Suspension

mga hilux/pickup trucks/suv bros, may nakagamit na ba sa inyo nito? Suchs suspension from Germany orig?

they say maganda daw ride and eliminates mostly yung tagtag sa hilux/fortuner/montero/strada and uber cheaper daw kesa Old Man Emu?

    any feedbacks? salamas!

Bendix na ginamit ko sa fortuner namin. So far okay naman no noise. Yung likod na brake shoe mukhang due na for replacement. That one I'll get the original part from casa..

yes sir, paul4u2c! konting dumi lang sa brake pad facing the rotors, maingay na ang bendix. sa stopping power naman, no complaints, sa ingay lang. sa dumi (brake dust), not sure. my wheels are bronze, so di halata masyado. hehe!

heard from a friend that the tagtag for the Fortuners are due to the coils. when he went with Tein, his ride improved even if on stock shocks. not sure if the same can be said for the hiluxes. has anyone tried?
