Anybody experienced this: I use a 06 Super Grandia, daily driven within QC, always on full tank and changes oil every 5000kms. Current milage is 50,000kms. Recently, while in idle (waiting for my kids at school with engine and air-con on), the rpm jolts up and downward from the idle rpm of 8-1k rpm. Sometimes tulyuan ng mamamatay yung makina. Then have to restart the engine. Minsan naman pag matagal ang traffic dahil hindi gumagalaw, pag tapak sa gas, instead of an acceleration reaction, you get a brake rxn (head & body moves forward instead of backward). Sometimes, tuluyang mamamatay din.
According to casa, may problema daw sa suction control valve. But since they dont have parts, they referred me to a shop in Banawe that will charge me 8,800 for the parts + labor.
Thing is, tama ba yung findings or may iba pang problema? Any recommendations? Thanks!

mukhang D4D problem to. engine stalling eh. pwedeng pwede na SCV (suction control valve) talaga ang may problema dito. back read ka na lang muna sa list of toyota D4D problems thread. kasi karamihang may tama jan is 05-08 models ng D4D. may shop silang nabasa ako dun na nilagay na nakapag[agawa sila ng mura.

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year mga peeps!
may tanong lang po ko about sa '99 model 2.0 gas engine,Gl,Toyota hi-ace. yung clutch lining & spring ba tawag dun or clutch master cylinder ata, yung parang bakal na maliit, parang kasing laki ng bala ng armalite, tapos may nakakabit na spring, ang tinatagal lang po ba nun eh between 6-7 months lang talaga? nakailang palit na kc yung father ng gf ko nun.ang pinaka huli is last 6 months ago.tapos ngaun may sign na bibigay na sya uli.
ganun lang ba talaga ang expected life nun?sakit ba talaga ng mga ganung year model na hi-ace?
kung magpapalit, anu maganda na brand for replacement?
Help po! thanks po mga idol!
That's what he actually did. He also retrofitted an eps to his 1970s era beetle. Btw, now...
