Just sharing... the workhorse 2001 Toyota Revo GLX diesel gets 7-7.5km/L city driving. I have to admit I have a heavy foot, especially with this car. Ang kupad naman kasi! There was a time when it dipped to around 6km/L after continuous flood wading, but which improved after a thorough oil change.

In long drives, we brought it to Subic once with 5 passengers and some luggage. Average speed of 90-110km/h at NLEX with occasional bursts to 120km/h, and at SCTEX, average speed of 130-140km/h (maxes out at around 145km/h on level road) with rpm above 4000 most of the time. Traffic in Subic city limits was very light and roads were mostly long, wide and straight so it would qualify somewhat as highway driving as well. This got me 9.4km/L.

By the way, I'm using upsized 205/70/R14 tires, maintaining 35psi on all wheels. Mileage now is at 94tkms.
