joms3,Larshell is right, 2.7vvti is a good choice. Di reliable D4D maski ano pa sabihin ng nakabili ng variant na yan na okay naman unit nila. In the first place, wala na rin naman silang choice since nabili na nila ang unit so they have to live with that big question mark kung kailan unit nila will start experiencing that D4D bug unless benta nila. And I don't think most owner will do that since they'll be losing money or di pwede benta since mostly hawag sila sa leeg with Toyota's ridiculous financing. Since you still have a choice, doon ka na sa trouble free models. If you'll go for a CRDI engine, Hyundai or Kia ka. For me that badge thing is full of shait...he2x

yung kasing 2.5 bihira lang cguro gagamitin so sa tingin nyo magiging problema kaya talaga yung d4d issue kung bihira naman gagamitin or ginagamit? ilan ba fuel consumption diff ng 2.5&2.7? meron kami d2 pregio van model 97 -31,000kms mileage. nissan sentra 92 -80,000kms sentra gts 99- 30,000kms. so wise buy kaya kung sa 2.7 then bihira magagamit?

Yes, pag fortuner dapat yung Gas kunin mo (5-6Km/L). Wag D-4D kasi baka maging UnFortunate ka. hehhe.

With regards to "pang-ilalim", actually, walang "pang-ilalim" ang SantaFe that's why it rides like a car. It's not a truck based like fortuner with body on ladder chassis which gives a harsh ride. It instead is constructed with monocoque body with (electronic?) hydraulic shocks which automatically levels the car horizontally so you always drive a leveled car no matter how heavy the load. Actually SantaFe is to fortuner as apples is to oranges. They're not of the same level. SantaFe is more comparable to Murano albeit the latter having a lot higher sticker price.

ok cguro i'll go for 2.7vvt-i, nakausap ko yung ahente inopen ko yung concerns ko sabi nya kapag daw nag luko d4d ire-reset lang daw yung comp sa makina tapos hindi nadaw magkakaproblema sabi ko i doubt it dahil meron d2 sa forum na nai-reset na tapos may problema parin. 2.7 walang problema kaya i'll go for it, yun nga lang sakit sa bulsa.

joms23, Ano sabi ng agent? Reset lang? 95% ng mga agent na yan walang sa problema ng D4d, mismo nga Toyota hindi pa nila alam ang problema. Meron din dito na twice na pinalitan ang supply pump. Manloloko yang mga ahente nayan basta makabenta lang. Subukan mong pa-pirmahin na sila ang magpapalit pag may defect tingnan mo di pipirma yan. Going back, Try to visit hyundai also maganda din naman ang Sta.Fe kung di kanaman mag-off road pwede rin ang sta.Fe. Wag ka magmadali.See and compare para di ka matulad sakin naiinip sa Fortuner nauwi sa Innova na palpak.

Larshell, I am sorry I can't show you the computer form you mention in your previous thread because the service engr from TMP and from Denso came over and perform at our residence when I ask them do I have to sign any service report wala, and left for manila the next day, the only proof show that they came is the picture, snapshot taken from my cam also there business card, I wrote already several complaint letter hope it will prosper...

Bad trip talaga tong problema sa d4d kung wala lang sana ok to, yung 2.7 na gas lakas naman ng kunsumo. kapag ba ni reset yung sa computer sa engine hindi na magkakaproblema sa d4d?

it is highly unlikely that a simple computer reset (just remove your battery connections) will resolve this problem.

ask ko lang po, anu po engine code nyang 2.5L D4D na yan? kung dadag-dagan ng fuel filters will it reduce/solve the problem?

is there a model na nilabas sa SEA-market(not just here in the phil.) na may kasamang 4wd tranny?

hope may makasagot sa survey ko....
