September 4th, 2009 10:10 PM #12Margaret,
I have the same problem with my Corolla GLi 95 . Magaspang ang makina during idling with the aircon on, pero makinis ang takbo kung walang aircon or when the car is in motion. I felt this 2 years ago. I already replaced my engine supports and changed my compressor last year. Last week, my evaporator gave up and was replaced with original denso evaporator. A mechanic told me to have the servo cleaned because it is related to the aircon. However, a mechanic in the Alabang Motortown did not agree that the servo was the problem since the di naman daw nahihirapan ang makina, although nanginginig nga. He fixed the timing but later gave up and did not find anything wrong with my engine. When I have time, I will have the servo and the fuel injection cleaned in a different shop.
Please post the result of your check-up. Thanks.

September 4th, 2009 11:46 PM #14With regards to the AIRCON:
I had the aircon check at two different shops (in a span of 2 days,
talagang gusto kong ma-resolve itong problem)
Both said okay ang evaporator and drier, at walang leak ng freon.
BUT loose compression na daw ang A/C compressor - bumibitaw daw
(i don't know what they mean by this statement)
One thing though, I somehow have doubts with what they said.
Kasi biglang sales talk about installing a new compressor (brand new
daw cost 17K, yung isa naman ang quote 26K). One even offered
a surplus for 7.5K.
Ok, kung compressor ang problem, so be it. But I felt this strange feeling
inside me (whenever someone is trying to do one on you) na telling
me to stay away. I will going to another shop tomorrow - last na to,
and see what they have to say about it.
WITH REGARDS TO IDLING:
One of my trusted mechanics found out na di-naka-timing
mabuti yung car - nasa zero (0) when he used a "timing gun"
(tama ba term ko don sa equipment? )
Anyway, he adjusted the timing to the 10 mark (which is yun
nakalagay sa hood sticker) by adjusting the distributor. Lalong
tumiting ang tunog ng engine - lalong tahimik.
With a digital analyzer, i requested to see the RPM of the car,
with no A/C on. The results gave out 800 RPM (which is the
recommended idling of 1995 Corolla GLi)
Tire-Asia ako nagpa-adjust ng timing ko, then went to
Servitek for their digital analyzer.

September 4th, 2009 11:54 PM #15According to the 2 shops I went to:
all the A/C equipment are working - except for the A/C compressor,
loose compression na daw. Di rin daw marerepair.
Parang namahalan ako sa quote nila parehas, 17K and 26 K
for a brand new compressor. Guys tama ba quote nila sa akin?
Original Denso ang A/C compressor ng Corolla GLi 1995 ko.
Yung isang A/C mechanic gave me a warning, dapat ayusin na daw
dahil baka "magkabubog" at pupunta daw iyon sa evaporator.
I'll be going to another shop tomorrow morning - no,make that 2 shops.
Yung isa sa Kamias - i remember them fixing the A/C of my Lancer GSR
dati.

With regards to the Throttle Body - matagal ba ang paglinis nun?
May mga pyesang pinalitan or cleaning lang talaga?
Mga what price kaya ang pa-cleaning - havent done this yet
kaya akong alam about it.
Hoping for a reply....

September 5th, 2009 12:03 AM #17I had the engine supports checked, everything is ok daw,
except for 1 piece na may "minor crack".
Aabot pa daw ng 1-2 years yun kaya ayaw palitan ng
mechanic.
I had him drive the car. Ok naman daw clutch. Malakas
ang hatak at matulin talaga yung car - and he believes
clutch and gas pedals.
and i never ako nahirapan sa pag-timpla ng pedals (dito lang).
Have any of our friends here at Tsikot experienced this?

With regard sa timing mo tama iyong ginawa ng mekaniko mo . Pagtama timing ng sasakyan mo subukan mong i rev. mararandaman mo galit agad makina at walang delay sa rebolusyon .Iyon siguro dahilan kaya may nginig sa makina mo.

Just give us feedback kung ano nangyari.
