help me out! just got my new 1.6G altis 08, problem is i find the car too sticky! i got a manual type para pang rev up kaso nabibigatan ako... then have my new dent na rin sa right door nia, can i still bring it to the casa?? for free svc and parts??? damn im broke! gas is now P60...

I'm not sure lang what you meant by "sticky" and "nabibigatan" pero I got a 1.6V A/T and pansin ko lang parang maliit nga ang 1.6 for it's body. But for my driving style, medyo no big deal kasi city driving naman ako mostly and madalas wala naman akong sakay. Plus, compensated naman in terms of fuel economy so happy na rin ako.

Sorry to hear abut the dent. Medyo particular din ako dyan. Try mo to talk to your insurance. Kaya lang syempre may participation ka siguro...

Hi mga Guys, got my new Altis 1.6V A/T yesterday sa Toyota Manila Bay, naka register sa Odomometer is 52kms, tinanong ko yung SA kung bakit 52 kms na ang tinakbo, she told me kasi they got the car from Sta Rosa plant by driving it, hindi raw naka car lift gaya ng sa Honda. Ganun din ba sa inyo? kasi sabi ko sa SA baka ginamit na yung car bago binigay sa akin.

Hi Guys newbie ako dito. I just came from the dealer I am going to have my new Altis 1.6G M/T next week. Sabi nang isa technician ang usual problem daw nang Altis is the radio/cd though may 3 years warranty naman but you might want to check it out kung ok radio and cd nyo and the other one is the crackling sound sa dashboard ... other than that ok naman sya overall ... just want to share with you guys for everyones benefits. Oo nga pala I ordered medium silver, in case papalagay kayo nang tint kunin nyo yon 3M DC 20 sa back and DC 35 sa front ... yon para makintab na tint mas bagay yon medyo may dagdag nga lang pero i got it free sa dealer ko except for the front tint which i need to cash out 3k

3k for front only and its only a 3m brand? hey hey have a refund and dont get the free tint. better invest on a decent much reliable tint. like solargard/v-kool.

and dont get platinum tints ....

bro...platinum look (or makintab) was great during the 1990's ..keep your car simple and classic looking...stay with a standard shade or tint - gray or black. good for when you re-sell later as well.

* further note - count how many standard looking tint you see and compare it with na lang with cars with makintab/platinum shaded tints...not many with the makintab look right? .

and WTF in regards you having to fork out more money for your tint? Take your money back and tell them you just want the normal free tint usually available. If you want to upgrade later, do so and use your 3k towards this.

end of the day tho, your car, so you have to be happy with your end choice.

Common problem ng model G and E ang stereo, Panasonic ang brand nyan. My stereo had the problem in less than a week. So sinabihan ko ung dealer na palitan as in one-to-one kasi hassle naman sa akin bago na nga binili ko tapos sira pa bibigay nila. After almost a week of deliberation nila pumayag din. I'm scheduled to replace it next week. Ung mga noises meron din but if its not annoying wag mo na lang pagalaw while its new. 3 yrs naman warranty so sabay sabay mo na pagawa pag iba pang sira.
Tip ko lang, don't sign on the dotted line until you've inspected and test driven to your satisfaction. You have a chance to reject the unit and choose another one if you have a choice to do so. Not all CASA are alike, in case you have problems there are some SAs who are also member forums who can help you, here in tsikot or sa ibang car forums.

I got my Altis last Nov 2008. So far wala namang problema sa stereo ko kahit madalas in and out ang CD dahil sa son kong makulit. Crackling sounds lang problema ko sa dashboard especially pag medyo rough road.

I will buy in cash kaya sinubukan kong ibaba ang price. ok na kaya yang offer na yan? mga freebies na kasama mga standard lang like tint, matting, seat cover, rustproofing... etc..

di ba 823k lang ang g m/t? ask around pa sa other branches; you're paying in cash so you should be able to get a better discount (or more accessories).

Not sure with the M/T but I inquired about their left over '08 Altis and the 1.6 G A/T variant cost only like 804k after a 40k discount.

Only difference between '08 and '09 is the speed sensing auto door locks.

I think Toyota still have a few '08s in stock and it should worth looking if you mainly look for value.
