Toyota bZ4X EV has 450 km range, steer-by-wire system - AUTOINDUSTRIYA

No longer a concept. This is the production version of the bZ4X EV.

The bZ4X is set to go on sale in mid-2022, and it will be available with two versions at launch – front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. The base FWD model uses a single electric motor setup mounted on the front axle with a peak output of 201 horsepower (150kW) and 265 Nm torque. The front-wheel-drive variant can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 160 km/h.

Possible they will up the ante on the TSS and the battery warranty when its already on the showrooms..

Toyota bz4X EV now in Thailand & Indonesia, PH next? | Autoindustriya

That's right, both Thailand and Indonesia now have the all-new Toyota bZ4X in their respective markets. With it, the EV has officially made its regional debut in ASEAN.

I wonder which model will be released here. The US has the 2026 model which is now called as BZ with Toyota dropping the 4X in the name. It has slightly larger battery pack and a NACS charging port.

At that price, the Model Y will be the preferred choice in Metro Manila. Tesla is not a Chinese brand and it still has the novelty factor for Filipinos. And, in truth, the Model Y is also the superior automobile, even if the bZ4X is made in Japan.

May review si car care nut sa car na to.

Comparing the EV design and Technology to Tesla, medyo inferior pa ang design and tech ng Toyota.
Especially on the cooling module for the battery.
Superior pa rin daw cooling system ng Tesla.
Yun nga lang, tagilid ang tesla sa car design/ergonomics department such as pointy edges on the doors, not carefully think of design that will incovenience users inside and out, durability of the materials used inside and outside sa car, etc.
Para dawng gumastos lang si Tesla sa EV tech and Battery cooling, but for other aspects of the car, amateur daw yung naka assign na engineers.

But carwise from design, ergonomics, convenience, durability on the parts being used, lamang pa rin daw si Toyota Bz4x.

There is a bias in the PH for Toyota, that is without a shadow of a doubt.

Reviews for it outside the Philippines are lukewarm at best and yet here in the Perlas ng Silanganan every car reviewer seems to think it's game-changing.

Because car drivers, owners and analysts alike in other countries are much more educated and knowledgeable while being open-minded at the same time.

Here in the Ph, they're usually casuals with surface-level impressions who tend to gravitate towards mainstream brands while romanticizing their choice lol. In short, parang mga normies, ika nga.

And the household marques take advantage of it. Best-selling shouldn't equate to being best for every juan.

Parang yan nga dito sa pinas.

Also to add pala sa review ng BZ4X EV in point of view ng mechanic, the engine design (I know there is no engine, but the EV components) are complex. It would be hard for a mechanic to service the vehicle. Para dawng ang layout niya especially the wirings if you check the hood looks like a gas engine. EV design is supposedly simple, but here in Toyota BZ4X EV, the hood inside looks like a gas engine, wires you see from here and there that were not properly organized.

Unlike sa Tesla, na simple lang ang design, wala kang makitang mga flying wires when you see the hood (or yung likod where the EV components are serviced).
And properly organize yung placement ng EV components.

Ano kaya if mag collab tong dalawa, to market a car where Toyota's car design and ergonomics are applied while Tesla is in charge of electrical aspect (EV and Battery) of the car.
