finally got my J from TYT Commonwealth. 66 na agad sa ODO.. sabi saken ng agent ko driven daw from Laguna plant. hmm... anyone else have this?

anyone using tumana road uphill from marikina to peyups? tinry ko iakyat at 2nd gear with a/c at 2+50% thermo pero pumugak. downshifted to 1st and had to climb at 3k+ RPM and a/c off. imo parang mahina hatak for a bnew car. i'm used to driving honda city 2k, 06 jazz, 78 corolla and 9x kia pride.

my friend suggested to switch fuel to higher octane...

anyways.. your thoughts guys?

Got it for 590k, free insurance, standard freebies (no rain gutters though). Ok naman kausap (at kaharap) yung ahente, pero since first time buyer ako di ko din mashado napush. Wala din J sa Marikina, Shaw, Alabang.. di ko na natry sa Cubao.

share ko lang mga peeps mothers wax din ang gamit ko..hehe!!!meron akung nakausap na manager...nagdemo sa akin ng application frm step 1to 3..for free..ang kintab talaga.bagong bukas kasi yung isang detailing shop near TYT Commonwealth...so ayun nga nilibre ako..tapos dun na din ako bumuli ng wax with free foam wax pa...i post ko nextime yung quote interior and exterior..

Almost all Toyota ehicles are driven to the dealerships sa MM. Hindi ko lang alam sa provinces.

Sa mga flat lands, ok lang na mag maintain ng 2,000 rpm. pero sa akyatan, depende sa grade, dapat nasa 2,500 or better 3,000 rpm ang rev. Mababa kasi ang gearing ng avanza. At 80 kph, 3,000 rpm * 5th gear. parang 115 kph at 4,000.

BTW, after ng mga 5,000 km pms, duon pa lang medyo lalakas ang makina. nasa break in period pa lang, medyo hinay-hinay sa rev. iwas muna sa 4K pataas.

Noong break in ko, di ko pinapalagpas sa 3,000 rpm.

Kung tubig lang sa umaga after a cold start Ok lang. considered normal.

abnormal na pag mainit na ang makina at/o hindi tubig.

thank you sir and i'll definitely keep this in mind! i think ganun nga.. mababa ang gearing nito. since pure 60+ km of city driving ako per day malamang kaya na to, iwas na lang sa matarik.

nagpa interior detail nga pala ako sa BBs 2 weeks ago.. ayus na ayus.. linis na linis ang lahat nang plastic sa loob, ni brush nila lahat nang sulok, tanggal lahat nang libag! Nagmukhang bago at nag amoy bago tuloy ang loob ni Goldie!

So far, yours is the avanza with the highest milage/odometer reading here at the forum.

I was aking the tire pressure kasi this has an effect on tire wear and FC. Masyadong mababa, hindi pantay ang pudpud ng gulong at medyo matakas sa gas. Sobra naman, matipid nga sa gas pero hindi pa rin pantay ang pudpod. Personally, I use 35 psi sa lahat ng gulong.

Sa span ng 88,000 km, ano ang naging problem mo? Pa share naman. TIA.

Sorry for the late reply, the drivers use 35 PSI as well. But I guess at 88,000km talagang ma pupudpod mga tires hehe.

Well at 88,000km so far no major problems. Its used practically 24/7, so I advised the drivers to use V-Power gas. And we have its oil changed every 5,000-10,000km with synthetic oil. I think its more of maintenance than anything else.

Minor problems naman that has really nothing to do with the performance, the manual windows are getting harder to bring up despite using oil/spraying WD40. Both bulbs of the headlights had to be changed coz they died. Very very minor problems.

What are you guys' view on converting Avanzas to LPG? I've heard a lot of environmentalists say that the gas companies are the ones giving LPG a bad rep (bad for health). And that in fact LPG is actually very economical and even better for people and our environment.

Personally I wouldn't mind coz I could save a butt load on gas (our expenses is P60,000/month)

Magkano naman ang damage sa bulsa niyan?

sa website.. 2.4T ang nakalagay.. pero since suki ako don.. tsaka di pa naman masyado madumi.. eh 1T na lang daw.. kasama na carwash, vaccum, tire black.. kaya lang medyo matagal.. inabot nang mga 4 hours yata.. isa lang kasi gumawa..

Mayroon akong nakitang Avanza J na naka LPG kaso sa loob nakalagay. walang 3rd row seats.

Once natapos ang 3 year warranty ko, I am planning to have LPG installed.

BTW, I am just using the cheapest unleaded fuel. no problems naman. siguro i will try caltex E10. So far ok naman. Nasubukan ko na ang Petron at Shell. For me, better ang petron. No comparison yet with caltex.

Also, I have upgraded my dtock headlights to Philips Xtreme. nabili ko sa megamall for 1,450 a pair. Stock wattage pero ams malakas ang liwanag kaysa sa stock.

dati nga evey week end ako mag wax. Tapos ng naging 2 cars, every other wee hindi lang ako mag wax pag umuulan. For me, ok na ang once every 2 months. ang importante for me ay malinis.

May garahe ako sa opis at sa bahay so di bilad o nauulanan. :D Pag nasa byahe lang or nasa mall na open parking naarawan.

Simple lang pala ang interior detailing sa Big Bert's, yung iba kasi (e.g. Ziebart) pwede mo i-request na baklas carpet tapos may kasama pang dis-infection for micro organisms kuno...
