That's what I meant by "usage pattern," sir.

Hello to All Avanza owners! I'm new in this thread and a new owner of an Avanza 1.3J Silver as well. I would like to know if anyone of you already drove your Avanza 1.3 to Baguio with about 7 to 8 adult pasengers? Will the engine carry the load on steep climbs going up to Baguio and also in long drives say from Manila to Ilocos with the same number of passengers. Appreciate all your feedbacks. Thanks!

    Kayang-kaya yan, sir...

Just make sure you use proper gearing...

May mga nag-Pagudpud na rito (si shadow3619163), saka Baguio (si Ownertype) gamit Avanza J.

    Have a safe trip!

Heto nga pala ang isang tip mula kay Avanza_84...

Along Kennon: Engine brake ako palagi. 2nd gear pag matarik (Usually before the lion head), 3rd gear kung katamtaman lang. Marami nga nag-o-overtake sa akin. Okay lang. By the way, sa pakiramdam ko eh mas maganda ang performance ng brakes pag fully loaded. Mas kapit ang mga gulong compared to wala kang sakay.

ALong Marcos/Naguillan, Mostly 3rd gear. Pag bumibilis na, shift to 2nd gear.

Bottomline: Minimize the use of brakes pag downhill. We never know kung kailan bibigay ang brakes. Murphy's Law. "If you think it will happen, it will". Safety is paramount.
Via Marcos Hiway, kaya pang mag-3rd gear.

    HTH...
