Regarding the 1 car distance rule. If I am not mistaken, 1 car distance per 10Kph rule. So, if your travelling 100kph, maintain a 10-car distance. As explained, this will give the comfortable safety brakes application during emergency. It makes sense. Safety is paramount..

thanks for the the tips for driving safety rule.. both are you are correct (distance + time) ito ang commonly problem here in middle east kaya maraming grabeng bangaan like what horrific accident on dubai-abudabi highway near ghantoot last march '08 200 cars were involved in the crash in a seconds. dito kasi iba mas aware ka sa car na sumusunod sayo hindi sa front mo lalot haharang harang ka sa fast way wala silang dalawang isip na bangain ka. For me i keep 2 cars distance ahead on my car para pag count mo ng 123 seconds sakto lang na ma stop mo.

lima na yata o apat ang nakukuhanan ko pero mas maganda ang offer ni TYT Balintawak kaso in house ... sa bank kaya? ano ba advantage ng inhouse sa bank... vice versa? sa ngayon kasi sobrang naguguluhan talaga ako kung saan ako kukuha ng loan...

1. Try mo magpa-approve sa bank. Dun kasi sa nakuha kong deal sa bank (BPI) mababa talaga compared sa casa, at sa ibang bank na din. Pati Chattel Mortgage mura sa bank.
2. Ipakita mo sa TYT Balintawak kung kaya nilang tapatan ng in-house yung deal mo sa bank.
3. Insurance naman, sa TYT in-house na ang kinuha ko... para naman asikasuhin pa rin ako ng Sales person ko...pero tinawaran ko pa din...yung aking J model, nakuha ko Php13,750 with Acts of God na at 3 gives pa.

Ang maganda lang sa in-house financing ay kung minsan may promo discount sila... malaki din matitipid mo if ever....

meron din po ba kayo nito nung nagpa pms kayo? I shifted from Fully Synthetic to Mineral Oil .....ito kaya reason why they needed to use engine treatment?

wala ako kasi fully synthetic ako dahil puro long distance ako nowadays lalo na summer time. Pero noong 5kPMS using ordinary oil, wala ako nyan.

*mam jane, wala din akong ganyan, pero I remember the SA asking me kung papalagyan ko nga ng ganyan, sabi ko hindi muna kasi nabasa ko dito sa thread na hindi pa naman kailangan yan kasi bago pa nga mga Avanza natin. Pero tinanong ko siya kung para saan iyon... ang SAGOT... pinapagaan daw nito ang oil para mas swabe ang pasok sa engine, therefore, mas maganda at swabe ang takbo... smile lang ako at sabay sabi ng "Sige next time na lang"

hi newbie here, I wold just like to ask if anybody has ever computed the fuel consumption of the 1.5ltr avanza in city or haighway driving? I am planning to buy one and fuel consumption is one of my consideration since we all know how high the prices of gasoline these days.

sa Saudi ang mas grabe , tamad sa trabaho ang mga arabo pero sa pagpapa takbo ng kotse nila eh parang silang hinahabol ng 7 demonyo mahilig po sila sa gate tailing at pag flash ng kanilang head lights sa iyo kahit ikaw ay natakbo na ng 120kph,,, pero sila sinasagad ang speed na naka lagay sa speed 'o meter, katuwiran nila kaya daw nilagay yun eh , say halimbawa hanggang 220kph ang na ka indicate sa speed 'o meter nila sasagarin nila yun hahaha! kaya kapag nabunggo sila parang tansan na lang na parang napipi ang vehicle nila gaano man yun kalaki...
tama po ang sabi ni Castro na ang binabantayan mo palagi dito sa ME eh mas more yung nasa likuran mo na arabo, hindi yung nasa harapan mo, totoo po ito...

tatanungin kaba nila kong gusto mo or ayaw mo lagyan nitong engine treatment? or mandatory nilang ilalagay pag wala kang kibo. tama ka Eypeeyu bago pa naman yon avanza natin di pa siguro kaylangan ito.

Levanz , ano ng balita ? ngayon kalang uli ha! ano ng balita kay bisoy? ayaw magparamdam hehhehehe wala palang nangyari sa eb nila sacha sa cebu..

Good day mga fellow Avanza fanatics. I've been using this great car since Feb of this year. I am just very eager to know the fuel consumption of 1.3J with the following details:

Mileage: 2300++km
Change oil: last March
Added a few weight like spoiler, tail light extension etc
I have made my computations for the past months:
I. City Driving
Average speed - 100kph
Distance - 42km (BBB Valenzuela to Makati and vice versa)
Fuel Consumption:
Fuel used - Shell E10 Unleaded - Almost 9km/liter (Gas LED warning shows when vehicle is at rest and flat surface, no passengers and aircon is at level 1)
Fuel used - Petron Xtra Unleaded - Almost 10km/liter (Same scenario above)
II. Long driving
Average speed - 130kph
Fuel Consumption- Almost 14km/liter(5 adults and 1 baby)

I'm sure this question was answered from the previous threads but for a quicker reference, am I closed to the actual specifications? If not may tips po ba tayo dyan mga Ma'am and Sir? Advisable na po ba gumamit ng carsaving device at this point?

I have other cars but I often used them because of the practicality and conveniency of this vehicle. Thanks in advance and have a safe ride.
