been reading this thread for quite sometime na.. i'm getting too excited na po kahit mga march2008 pa siguro ako makakabuo ng pang down..

just wanna be well-prepared kasi this is the first time im going to buy a car..
i'm from tacloban and planning to purchase avanza at toyota cebu nalang kasi malapit. im hoping na sana mayroon sa inyo who will be kind to answer a few questions..

1. which is better car loan*BDO or car leasing pero how?
2. if car loan: ano breakdown lahat-lahat ng gagastusin?
3. if car lease: how and ano rin breakdown lahat-lahat ng gastos?
4. standard ba yung 3rd row seat sa J variant?
5. ano po prices at installation fee ng mga accesories na ito?

I'm also from leyte but in the south. Magka-probinsya pala tayo. If you're planning to travel full load from tacloban all the way to panggasinan (regularly), better get na lang the G variant, though kaya naman ng J. more or less mga 24hrs ang biyahe mo nun. Ok na ba yung daan dyan sa Samar? The last time I passed there medyo ang sama ng daan.

Bro, leases and purchase loans are simply two different methods of automobile financing. One finances the use of a vehicle; the other finances the purchase of a vehicle. Meron kanya-kanyang benefits and drawbacks yan. Kung car loan mapasayo yung kotse in the end, while lease either isoli mo yung kotse or bibilhin mo at depreciated price. Pag lease mas mababa ang monthly mo compare sa loan.

Standard na ang 3rd row seat on all variant. Sa taxi version lang ang 5 seat pero parang hindi na yata tinutuloy. Pero meron ng mga tumatakbo rin avanza taxi.

Kung magpakabit ka ng roofrack then lalagyan mo ng load lagi, siguro yung mas matibay ang kukunin mo. Yung iba kasing roof rack ay parang dikit lang yata kaya doubt ako sa tibay.

Back read mo ang avanza thread , mga 100 post more at meron nag post ng mga presyo ng accessories. Or maybe someone is kind enough will repost it again.

Judell uses shark products for his roof rach and stepboard if I am not mistaken. Here is the price list from Toyota Ortigas.




I have a J and mayroon na akong spoile with 3d brake liget, Sa toyota ortigas ko kinuha. Here is their price list:

So far ang pinakamahaba kong trip with no stops is from Sta Rosa Laguna to San Miguel Tarlac. Loaded pa ako. 8 ang sakay, 2 of them are toddlers. Daming dalang gamit dahil 2 night kami, dami namin dalang mga gamit. iyon lang nga wala akong roof rack. Wala naman problems. Halos katatapos lang ng 1000 Km change oil ko ng nagbiyahe. Kayang kaya ng makina.

Sa 1,000 Km ang 5,000 Km na change oil, 820 something ang damage ko. Free pa ang labor sa change oils na ito and may 10% discount ako sa free na Toyota VIP card. Di ko pa alam kung magkano ang gagastusin ko sa 10,000 and 15,000 KM PM interval. BTW, mineral oils ang gamit ko.

Ang PM sked kasi is every 5,000 Km or 3 months which ever comes first. so 4x a year ang minimum PM.

*Kermitzky - just got our 1.5G A/T last friday.. drove to Laguna yesterday.. ok naman.. more than satisfied ako.. mabilis din.. did mga 100 - 110kph sa slex.. ang maganda tamang tama lang talaga yung lapad nya.. kaya madaling dalhin.. madaling isingit..

so far have done 280kms city/highway driving/trapik pa sa pagsanjan for 1 hour.. nasa 1/4 na yung gas ko.. mamaya mag full tank ulit.. para makita ang mileage... i guess mga 12 to 13kms/liter siguro..

problema lang.. i didn't get the floormats at out of stock daw.. tatawagan daw ako next week.. kaya yun.. puro papel ang gamit... medyo madumi na nga yung carpet.. dapat na sigurong ma vaccum..

thanks din po ke sir akal and meledson.... i guess, this is the feeling when one goes over 40 , ayaw matagtag, hehehe.... i guess ur right on the civic, the only thing is, i once owned an adventure and i liked the higher vantage point: it makes me feel patient with my co-drivers on the road, that's why my inclination to the avanza.

anyway, im still considering it; i wish i can test drive one now....
OT - i also tried (test drive) the carens (good handling, but too low) and the strada glx 4x2 (surprisingly good ride and highest vantage view, torquey too), and the ford focus crdi (excellent cabin silence, but like i said )

i will keep on monitoring your posts here, mga avanzers.... thanks again...

Just to share my experience on Shell E10 on my J: Engine power diminished significantly. Also, engine sounded differently. So, I switched back to VPower.

Suggestion lang, East EB siguro ang itawag natin sa EB ng Rizal, Marikina, Pasig, etc. Pag North EB, northern part of Luzon nga pala yon - Bulacan up to Ilocos.

Alam ko, basta sa casa ka nagpakabit, covered pa rin ng waranty.

Wala kasing gas station sa route ko na nagbebenta ng E10 kaya di ko pa nasusubukan. Regular unleaded lang ang gamit ko. Typically sa Shell ako nagpapakarga. Sa route ko kasi, sa shaw ang pinakamura magpa gas.

Gusto ko rin sana masubukan ang E10.

Kung casa, I have posted some casa prices in this page. Ang advantage ng casa ay di magagalaw ang waranty mo. Pag sa labas, mas mura (by 50% I think or more) pero ma-void ang warranty mo. Dahil may 3rd brake light, baka ma void ang warranty ng electricals mo saka pati body panel kung saan nakakabit ang spoiler.
