Hi ensoncruz,
If you will talk to Alex can you tell him pinakukumusta ka ni Engr. Cristobal. By the way wala paring kaming plate no. sa TYT Bicutan namin nakuha yung aming Avanza 1.5G A/T Champagne last Jan. 5.

laserbim, aside from looking at the pros and cons, eto suggestion ko for you to be able to see the difference bet the two in terms of Php:
1) try to prepare a matrix/table showing cashflow breakdown from day 0 to last day/term of payment given the quotes on Loan and Lease Options.
2) compute for total payments made for both
3) get the difference bet. original price and total payments made = total interest payments
4) now compare the total interest payments for the two options.
5) After seeing which is cheaper, assess whether other factors could outweigh said price difference in price. Kung wala naman, then get the cheaper one at face value.
anyway guys, lupet dito ah. parami na ng parami. hehe... ilang araw lang akong nawala, napagiwanan nako agad. rbligop, hope ok na unit mo.
good news, also got my plate no. and sticker yesterday! huthut. after 21 days lang.
sa mga newbies, remind ko lang, if you wish to join the survey I'm doing, please pm me your a) (Fuel Consumption) FC, b) variant, c) transmission type, d) fuel, and e) driving conditions. (see earlier thread). As of this writing, still only have 5 volunteer-respondents: me, Akal, jaspi11, Ludwig, and Gensi311. I will post initial results soon as i get 3 more.
Eto pala pagcompute ng FC:
· For FC : load full tank ng gas (dapat automatic lang at huwag nang itodo) then reset mo yung odometer to "0" . Then sa next full tank mo (same din lang automatic if possible same gas station and pump) ay tingnan mo kung ilang liter ang nadagdag. Then tingnan mo rin yung odometer kung ilang km ang natakbo. FC = ODO Reading/liter na nadagdag.

I think you have it reversed, in a loan you don't own the car until the loan is completely paid up until that time the bank/loan company is the lienholder of the car.
In a lease you technically don't own the car since it's a lease, in other words you are just renting the car for the period agreed upon. At the end of the lease term you have the option to buy the car at it's predetermined depreciated value which could be higher or lower than actual market value at the end of the lease. If you decide not to buy the car you have nothing at the end of the lease and you have to make sure you return the car in the same condition that you got it, no scratches or damage otherwise you pay a penalty to the dealer. Leases also have limitations on the mileage per year you can use the car with any kilometer over the limit costing you money per kilometer over.
Leases are better for people who like to have new cars every 2 years and don't mind not owning the property they have been paying for at the end of the contract. If you want to own the car you have to go buy it which means a loan.Last edited by redorange; February 22nd, 2007 at 10:42 AM.
