Their price are supposedly close with a difference of about (1x0,000). Bec. the 3.5 enjoys a tax break while the 2.4 doesn't. With that in mind, the 3.5 li is preferable.
The 3.5 li V6 (2GR-FE) is the same engine found on the present Camry, which in US EPA testing got 23MPG, while the 2.4 li (2AZ-FE) got 24 MPG. Only 1 MPG difference. With such minor fuel efficiency deficiency (evidently since its a V6) but with a big power gain on the other hand, it is enough to justify getting the V6.
The only reason why its chauffeur driven is bec. the people who can afford the Alphard have a full time driver(s) in their payroll.
