(PMS) Periodic Maintenance Schedule

I am due for 25K periodic maintenance of my Innova. I am currently using regular oil, and having my oil changed every 5K. Would it be advisable to shift to fully synthetic oil? What are the advantages and benefits compared to orrdinary oil? Your inputs are highly appreciated. Thanks.

synthetic oil can give you longer change oil intervals plus the engine would run smoother...

Change Oil (necessary):
Mineral Oil - every 5k
Synthetic - every 10k

guys, pa-help naman. first time ko kasi magpapa-PMS. nakaka-1K na kasi yung car ko and it's brand new, automatic. kelangan ba magpaschedule ka muna ng PMS mo sa casa or pwede dumerecho na kaagad dun ng walang pasabi?

mga how much kaya magagastos? sabi nung agent ko, magpa-change oil lang daw ako sa 1st PMS e.

Quick Service lang naman yan or mas maganda tawag ka sa casa then pa transfer ka sa service tapos pa book ka na. Ano ba brand ng car mo?

Change Oil at Oil Filter lang gagawin jan. Avoid Synthethic oil sa 1k pms. Ordinary oil ka muna.

toyota vios, 2010 model. sige, tawag na rin siguro ako para sure. yung synthetic oil, kelan pwede magpalagay nun? pag 5K na? mga how much kaya magagastos ko sa 1st PMS ko?

typically free lang ang labor ng 1000 at 5000 km pmg sa casa. so dapat less than 2,000 petot. mineral oil lang ang gamitin muna.

IMO, better kung na sa 10,000 km pms mag full synthetic.

guys, paano ba ang bilang nito sa odometer?

halimbawa, magpapa-5,000km na ko na PMS, should my odometer read 6,000km? i mean, plus 5,000km ba from the 1,000km where i first had PMS? or should the odometer read 5,000km talaga for my next PMS?

dun sa sinasabing it's better to use synthetic oil pag naka-10,000km ka na, should my odometer read 10,000km din? or plus-plus din siya?

sorry sa mga tanong ko ha.. bago lang po..

The odometer should read 5000km... Likewise for 10,000km... As for choice of oil its your choice. Personally I had mineral on the 1000km and from 5000km and up I have used synthetic. Its in your budget naman...

Personally, I don't see the need to go semi/full synthetic. Regular oil will do.

Logic ko kasi using semi/full synthetic oil extends the change of oil di ba? Questions ko are:

1) Recognize ba yun ng Toyota? Does skipping 5,000 kms PMS (since every 10k change ng semi/full synthetic) not void the vehicle's warranty?
2) The use of semi/full synthetic oil extends it's replacement --- paano naman yung mga filters? If these were designed and developed to be replaced every 5,000 or 3 months, whichever comes first, di ba maapektuhan yung purpose nung filters? Warranty?
