I thought the car has troubles with the tire, but after checking there is still issue. After loading a heavy baggage, i realize that the rear right side is not balanced with the other side. Then I know there is a problem with the shocks. The shocks fails to go up after going down. Is it advisable to use second hand shock absorbers rather than buying news ones?

i always buy brand new shocks.
buying "used" is always a gamble... if not immediately, a few weeks later...

At that age, your springs may need replacement too. Go for brand new shocks and springs. For shocks get a good brand like KYB or Tokiko, for springs you can find brand new replacements.

Thanks for the advises guys. I regret that I was not able to ask the mechanic to check the shocks etc after the car got into an accident with a jeepney that bumped on the right rear side while I was making a right U turn. The left shocks absorbed the impact and may have been damaged due to that. I will have to shoulder now for the replacement. Charge to experience.

You'll also have to change the shocks in pairs (left and right).

try mo muna pag palitin ng spring.baka sa spring lang yan at hindi sa shock.

My car's mechanic tried removing the assembly and it won't move up. Nka-lock down. It's a gas type shock absorber. Me problema ndin un stabilizer. I have changed the pairs at the same time. Issue resolved. Thanks again.

Im not sure if Im on the right thread but I still hope you can help me. My corolla's been displaying symptoms of a blown head gasket (loss of oil, overheating, white smoke during start ups, mud like substance on the radiator cap). If I opt to have a top overhaul, ano po ang mga papalitan or aayusin doon and magkano po usually ang top overhaul.
