Dude, walk away like the others said.
read up about D-4D problems of Toyota to save yourself from heartbreaks and headaches:
Smoke Belching:
Choking/Stalling
IF you really want an Innova, the safe bet is to get the VVTI version (though you should wait for the Dual-VVTI which is coming up soon).
If you want Diesel, the best diesel comes only from:
BMW (all D models)
Hyundai (all CRDI VGT equipped ones)
KIA (CRDI VGT equipped ones)
Mitsubishi (all DiD models)
Ford Duratorq vehicles
Subaru Boxer Diesel (coming soon this Q4 2008 or Q1 2009)
Mercedes (no issues heard about CDI so far)
Nissan (Navara)
etc.
Toyota D-4D and the Isuzu Trooper are the only ones that has design defects so far in their common-rail engines.

Hindi refundable ang downpayment, iba yan sa reservation fee. Normally downpayment is payed down kasi the dealer is asking for the buyer to have commitment na maybe the buyer asked for a hard to find color, or rare model so the dealer needs assurance di ka na aatras para di sayang yung effort nila. Reservation is refundable and normally as low as P5000 lang yan.

Yep. Force to buy na yan. The TS has stated he needs to pay 30% DP in order to get the so-called "discounts" and "freebies". So if he did pay already commitment na yun.
To the TS:
Insist on paying only a reservation fee of no more than P10K. Pero if you really are committed and you really can't find a better deal then maybe paying a DP is not a bad idea basta hingi ka ng OR.

November 25th, 2008 10:59 AM #18Just what the other folks here said. If you feel pressured... then all by all means, say no and walk away. Aferall, ikaw yong may pera. You should be haggling for the best deal. There are dealers who would kill for a sale without employing pressure tactics sa customers.
Try talking to 2 or 3 other dealers, then you have a leverage of actually negotiating and telling them the rates or the freebies being offered to you by the other dealers. Relatively matagal na investment ang sasakyan (3-5 yrs payment), make sure you dont decide lightly.

Kaya nga I said that if that deal is already the best he can find then it is ok to make a downpayment. Of course, if you haven't scouted thoroughly with other dealers then you haven't done your homework don't make a DP yet.

Be careful with channels like "China Observer" on YouTube. There is a clear bias in their posts and...
