July 4th, 2014 09:46 PM #111. your original paint is already a little weathered (aged) and has probably shifted a shade away from the computer's memorized formula... it's not easy to perfectly match "older paint" surfaces. all humans differ a little in color perception.
2. the underlying surface might be contributing a little to the final shade.

Iba talaga pag luma na yung paint ng car tapos ipaparepaint mo yung isang panel lang. It won't be even.
Happened to out AE101 before, different shades of red when exposed to direct sunlight. Not so halata but once you notice it, it can't be unseen.
