since i bought my innova G D4D i have never experienced smoke or any odor coming from the outside whether the rear blower is ON or OFF. I always pass Coastal Road every day and the smell from the bay really stinks. But it never goes inside the cabin.

Super disappointed about this. I think its a major design flaw by Toyota.

Every time I have to ride on the Innova (as back passenger), I would have to turn off the back aircon every single time we are beside a PUV (jeepney), bus, truck, or anything that emits lots of smoke.

I think that there's already a discussion on this in the Innova thread...

    Yup,- problem with the design...

theres 5 holes behind the rear bumper, 3 of the holes are visible when you go under the car. Takpan nyo lang tape, mawawala na amoy sa labas. the other holes are visible only if you remove the bumper.

kahit patay yun rear aircon, pumapasok parin yun amoy usok (jeep/bus in front when traffic) at kapag napapadaan sa may pasig river (boni-rockwell bridge). although hindi sobra tindi ng amoy like kapag naka-window down, but ma-distinguish parin na pumasok yun amoy.

Yun lever for air vent is always naka-set sa Recirculate mode.

tinry ko one time, before umakyat ng bridge, turn-off aircon both front at rear, then hanggang sa makalampas ng bridge... walang amoy (good)...
but once I opened only the front aircon again, ayun amoy ilog na mabaho (bad)... parang naipon ata yun amoy somewhere sa engine bay or sa may vent under the wiper cowl...

may nakapag-try na ba dito i-completely seal yun air vent under the wiper cowl? san pwede ito ipagawa?
