sana gaya na lang sa mga Lancer EX MX na touch screen yung stereo instead na GPS ang ilagay sa 09 Fortuner, tapos in place of the normal stereo eh 6 disc in-dash player na lang, sulit na rin siguro yan para sa price increase nila.

sad to say, but it's true, there are SA's who actually do not have a clue to what they're selling..sa iba, trabaho lang talaga. and i'm not only talking about car SA's. di ba?

i've heard of that date (sept 22) na launching ng bagong fortuner from someone or somewhere. i hope it's true.

my SA's are from toyota shaw and manila bay ganyan din sabi sa akin new fort has 17 inch mags this time but there's no additional m/t variant ...all new variants are the same with price increased of 30T....

Tomorrow's the launching of the new Fortuner and Innova at the A.Venue Events Mall in Makati, heard it on Magic 89.9. Same variants pa rin daw, pero sana tanggalin na nila yung 2.5 D4-D engine, hindi bagay sa ganun kabigat na sasakyan yung power and torque ratings. gawin na lang nila is may 3.0 V, 3.0 G, at 2.7 G na variants.

Here are the official prices of the new Fort variants:

4x4 3.0 DIESEL D4D = 1,698,000.00
4x2 2.5 DIESEL D4D = 1,448,000.00
4x2 2.7 GAS VVTI = 1,383,000.00

Pwede na raw mag pa reserve sabi ng SA ko. No guidelines on whether may madi-discount pa sa price na yan. And no display pa sa showroom for now.

Ask ko din kung me pagbabago suspension, sabi SA ko same as the old Fort lang ang suspension, except that the new Fort has 17" rims to absorb the bumpy road.

so tama yung SA na nagsabi sa atin na 30k increase lang for the new fort. someone from the service dept of toyota told me rin na hindi nagbago ang suspension nitong bagong fort. actually, yung gulong ng dating fort ay pang off-road daw kaya matigas. so yun lang daw ang kailangan palitan para lumambot ang ride...at, pwede raw palitan yung springs sa likod para lalong lumambot (P12k worth ng 2 springs daw). sana man lang sinama na nila yung pagbago ng suspension sa bagong fort.

IMO, with these "minor" changes in the so-called new Fortuner, Montero will win the competition ....

same D4D engine, same suspension? I'd pass on the facelift and go for the new Montero any day of the week and even twice on weekends....
