January 16th, 2025 07:42 PM #11if you're not offroading, not towing a trailer or caravan, why buy these cars anyway? for showing off? hehe. and they're not safe either, high center of gravity makes them prone to rollovers. that's why i'd rather be daily driving a tesla or subaru. then beat the cr*p out of the jimny offroad hehe

i've been driving around central luzon for decades on sedans (still drive a hatchback) and never had a problem w/ the roads so you definitely don't need a land cruiser just to get around. but i did get stuck once on a corolla, but that was offroad

If I had the money, I'll also get an LC. Perfect retirement gift for myself.
It also makes for a good heirloom to pass down to my favorite child. lol

Yeah. Tbh, kaya naman. It's just that if used daily it could mean parking, weaving in and out of traffic or navigating in the city thru tight streets can be quite a chore. Pano ang laki kasi for the local roads imo. Pero winner if used for off-roads or long, provincial trips. Like baguio, etc. Pero despite that, they may have their own drivers with them too. So for them, it might not be a hassle at all.
