mebbe yaris local sales figures do not seem to convince toyota ... and it might eat into their corolla sedan sales.. industrial logic... not easy to fathom sometimes..
besides, when they sell a model here, they are not just bringing in the model.. they also have to have a good supply of spare parts, many of which will just occupy space and grow cobwebs..

yaris versus vios... who's not selling well?
corolla sedan versus hatch.. which will probably not sell well?
fearless forecast based on previous experience..

Yaris hatch didnt sell much because of it size and price..size of the corolla hatch is very much comparable to the sedan version,..

the altis didn't outsell the vios, either... so why should the corolla hatch promise good sales figures?
toyota phils. is probably still hurting over their attempt at introducing the echo verso...

    ......bingo...

don't get me wrong.. the whims of the car buyer are just as unpredictable as the weather.. auto history is full of such examples.. but toyota still has to have basis for its decision on what to bring in and what not to bring in.. and as long as it has no access to a crystal ball, they simply have to use past experience as basis..

but yes... i'd like to see the corolla hatch.. my folks are old and feeble, and have difficulty getting into the innova... but i'm only one buyer...

Oh, it will sell and that's for sure! They only need to bring it here. Di hamak na mas maporma nman ito sa ibang bagong labas na hatch.

Princing will dictate a lot. Unless that Corolla hatch is produced also in Thailand, i don't think we'll find it over here.

Heck, i've always been a hatch and station wagon/estate fan.

mostly naman ata ng bumibili ng wagon/5 door version ng compact cars ay family-oriented. at pag family oriented ka you have your eyes on the innova or similar AUV/MPV.
