November 7th, 2006 03:56 PM #51A gasoline Hilux is useless. Other than Americans, who would want a pickup that's not diesel?

Actually a gasoline Hilux is fine. You just need to rev the engine higher than a diesel to pull.
Diesel pulls with less effort...hehe.

Gas pickup = zoom zoom! No, wait, yeah... why would you need a gas engine? Nah... guess it's more a matter of "want"...

Most of my friends choose a gas engine for a utility vehicle because its said to be quieter and less of a headache to maintain. Smoke belching is also a problem according to them.
Hmmm...Maybe they should be educated on the capabilities and improvements of the new generation diesels.
But exclude the Dmax in the noise category as it will still fail like most isuzu engines. The quietest isuzu rig i've seen was the Trooper.Last edited by Djerms; November 8th, 2006 at 03:43 PM.
