guys help naman, i need to change the engine of my tamaraw fx hspur. mahal na kasi gas ngayon so i really need to convert my car's engine to diesel. i heard the 2L engine is ok although hindi sya bolt on sa engine bay. pero magagawan naman daw ng paraan. Saan kaya medyo ok bumili? yung mura and mapapagkatiwalaan. Meron did bang nabibili na isuzu engine (same sa fuego) and pwede bang i install to sa tamaraw? Thanks a lot !

bolt on 2c-turbo dyan,a.. kung gusto malakas-lakas, 3c-turbo from an emina/lucida/previa...ung nga lang, baka di na match sa diff and tranny mo, and most are with a/t tranny,e...

2L pwede, engine+ tranny+diff para maximized ung engine...

plus the probs pa sa wiring...

    mura din ang maintenance:

hydraulic valve adjustment, so no adjust na, 4 liters lang ng oil.....dami pang piyesa at madaming mekanikokng may alam gawain ito.. basta 2c-turbo kunin mo para sulit na sulit...3c turbo kung gusto masmalakas....madami na ding piyesa pala to dito....if i only knew....

depende sa kundisyon yan. have driven a # of 2c-t townace. townace ranges reach 8-11km/l in city driving. A/T

in townace.com, most peeps say they have a fuel consumption of 22-23 mpg about (9.5km/l) and highways from 27-32 mpg (11-13km/l) all A/T. mas makatipid ka pa sa manual tranny mo.

I believe you can fit a 3c-t engine, and I recommend it for extra power, and consumption is likely the same with 2c-t.

just make sure it's a 3C-T not 3C-Te. my father bought a spare 3c-t engine when he bought our 3c-t Townace... peru, ngek... 3C-Te pala ang nabili niya. it's for an Emina, lucida, previa.

you don't need a turbo timer for these engines since they are water cooled, not an Intercooler. says an expert from townace.com

btw guys, magakano po yang turbo engines sa blumentritt? kahit price range estimate lang... thanks.

now a days, 2c-turbo plays for 20-30 thou no tranny...ewan ko lang ngayon, mas mahal siguro dyan ang 3c-turbo..

kung kukuha ka ng pang emina/estima/lucida/town-ace-/liteace-noah, make sure na kasama computer box... efi na mga ito if im not mistaken..

sir rion magkano kuha dyan sa 3c-te? baka in the future, palit ako nyan..2c-te naman ung akin,e...part mechanical, all ecu controlled..sandamakmak ang sensors!

nga pala, baka magamit nyu din yang 3c-te na yan...fuel pump lang naman halos iba dyan,e....

*Sir yum, my father got it from subic for 10K, he says we can sell it from 25K-30K. suprisingly we were able to use the 3C-Te's Fuel Pump for our 3C-t didn't believed it myself. the 3c-te was able to fit except the upper portion, were we used our old 3c-t upper portion instead. unfortunately, it didn't worked well, the power is low and fuel consumption is high and we get this dashboard warning lights on (heater icon) but the heater works fine though... kaya binalik nalang namin uli sa orig pump.

just a long and not so significant info:
our 3c-t has lot's of vacuum pipes and solenoids. the darn injection pump service messed a lot when we had it cleaning service. hindi nila naibalik yung right connections. Imagine the line for boost valve, became the line for the vacuum valve...
here's a picture of a 3c-t I got from a person from townace.com who owns a 3c-t and helped me put back the right connections.
pwede pala pa-order ng parts sa subic! sayang...layo lang... hanap kaya ko ng ready 3c-te w/ computerbox dun pag may time...

the effect of a wrong connection will be a not so good in gear shiftings. since the A/T shifting is controled by the box, kickdown cable and vacuum pressure. this is for those not ECUs type like mine. don't know about with "e" types like yours.

as for mine, it was a real disaster. boost valve that needs an air push was getting an air pull instead. though we have lot's of townace displayed in our shop to refer, but they are different from ours . infact I do get confused with Japan surplus because they all looked different from each other. a 2c-t might not look like the same 2c-t next year.

anyways, I found on the net this "Wouter's page : Land-Rover Engine Choice"

    http://retro.co.za/lr/tech/engines.html

he suggested 2 or 3C-T, 2L-T for a Land-Rover. the page also has some engine power specs info.

http://locost7.info/converter.php for Unit Converting (HP,lbf·ft,KW,Kgf·m,Nm etc,..)

btw, sir Yum, is your 2c-te have an intercooler turbo and airscope? 2c-te engine is quite rare.

nope, water and oil-cooled electronic-controlled turbo (di siya nag-boboost kung naka stop (p or n) the todo ko ung rpm.....madaming mekaniko nagugulat, lalo na ung familiar sa 2c-t na pinapalit sa fx....

one time nga nung nagpagawa ako, 2 kaming jdm liteace dun parehong 4wd, fxv ung akin, gxl ung kanya...sa interior palang, lamang na ako... pero surprising kasi, di kami pareho pagdating sa engine bay..maspuno at cramped ung akin..hirap nga magstencil ng motor #...kaya di ito agad magsstart ng engine if its not cool enough...

so i suspect 2c-te ang mga fxv grade (top-of-the line)...mixed siya ng ecu controlled mechanical system...hoses and sensors...mahrap magsabi ng malaking sira,e un pala, sensor lang...

marami po bang mabibili na 2c-te? at magkano po ba sila?

  16. #16
actually, you cannot tell na the difference pag katay na...its identical to any 2c-t but may konting differences, including dapat may ecu yan..pero di na nila sinsama,e...pero once nasa fx na, bypass na lahat ng engine management...

may diagnostics port nga din pala liteace ko..madali sana magtrouble shoot, pero wala me software and equiptment na alama meron for this..

question lang guys, ano ang stock engine ng diesel fed na tamaraw fx?

we have a gas fed FX. 1.5L lang ata ito. sobrang lakas sa gas at mabagal pa. we (office) hardly use it anymore kasi malakas sa gas. and madalas nalang gamitin e hilander kasi mas matipid. nagagamit lang FX pang coding. sayang naman. would it be advisable to swap it to a diesel engine? kung 20-30K ang 2c-t, mag kano aabutin sa labor and other services pa?

Better if you just sell it and add the extra money to buy a diesel version. Mga 50k+ ang conversion (guess-timate... depends on the cost of the engine...) at di ka pa sigurado kung gagana...

Whereas, if you just sell and buy another diesel AUV, you can test-drive and inspect the unit you will buy to replace it. Mas sigurado.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Help!!! Where to buy Toyota 2L engine.
