HELP!!! My innova D4D Black smoke- pls Help!!!

Kung Recall then better... ngayon kasi parang our problems (black smoke) is not common at bilang na bilang lang ang may ganitong problem.

Mukha ngang ikaw palang ang may problem na D4D na fortuner.... anung sabi sa Fortuner club saiyo after presenting it? I saw a post of sgt pepper and i even asked him how is his unit.

May i ask saan casa kayo magkikita? did you both buy the unit at the same casa? ako kasi sa Toyota Ortigas

hindi kami nagkita ng dad mo kasi maaga ako dumating sa casa around 7:45 nandun na ako. Pero nung nag update saken ung service supervisor eh tinanong ko nga kung meron isang d4d fortuner na pumasok ngayon na pareho complain tulad sa unit ko. sabi nga meron nga daw... ininterview pa nila ako over the phone regarding sa driving habits ko.. pag aaral daw ng mga engrs dun ngayon ung design ng d4d kung san ang problem... so wala pang linaw kung ano ang gagawin nila sa unit ko. ang masama dun, mag cocomute kami ng misis ko pagpasok ng ofc... hussle talaga ang nangyari samen... Pareho rin po ang sinabi kay dad -- pinag-aaralan. Naghintay nga po nang matagal si dad and then that's the best thing they can say. However, there's a bright side (well, di ko po sure kung applicable ito sa atin pareho): last na raw po ito na pagdala sa casa. If the problem reoccurs again, magdemand na raw po ng replacement.

If ever ganon nga po ang mangyari, kukuha na lang po kami ng gas variant. Ayaw na po namin ng D-4D. Kayo po, Sirs?

Sgt., bukas po namin makukuha. Kayo po ba? Hanggang next week?? ..And Sir, I hope that you keep in touch even after this check-up. Para kung magreoccur po yung black smoke problem, sabay na po tayo magdemand. Let us make our chances strong.

Hopefully, this gets resolved very soon through a replacement. Such a waste of time and money.

Ako din siguro, last na ito na pag check sa casa kasi pati Engr sa thailand pumunta na d2 para makita ang problem, so pag hindi pa rin naayos ito i'll demand for replacement... at siguro gas variant na din ang kukunin ko. Kami din naman loyal sa toyota... eversince na nagka oto kami eh puro toyota ang gamit namin...nag umpisa pa kami sa toyopet version 1970's pa, toyota SR,toyota DX liftback, tamaraw FX ... un lang masyado kami na-disappoint sa toyota kasi first time namin bumili ng brand new pero ito pa nangyari.. kaya nga tayo bumili ng brand new para walang sakit ng ulo... hay naku! Wala pang balita kung kelan ko makukuha ang unit ko... itatawag naman saken un ngayon for sure... Sige, pag naulit ang problem natin sabay tayo pumunta sa casa para mag demand ng replacement pero sana wag na maulit.... i'll keep u posted brow... Thanks

Sana nga po maayos. Pero the way I look at it, chances are slim. This is because ang ginawa lang nila kahapon ay pinalitan lang ulit ang fuel injectors. I was expecting an ECU replacement. I'm disappointed. Subject to investigation "daw" yung fuel injectors na napalitan. So I'm thinking: what will they get from investigating just the fuel injectors? Hindi naman kumikilos independently ang injectors. What makes it work is the ECU (if I'm not badly mistaken).

Tumawag din po Sgt. yung SA at tinanong nang tinanong si dad sa daily routes, average speed, etc. I DON'T know what that is for.

Thanks for all the updates, alam ko mahabang process pa ito just in case that they are willing (and if they are willing lang) to change our unit, i have to agree that i will only replace it withe a gas variant. Mas maganda lang that if they (TMP) will put everything in writing that if changing the parts (injectors and EGR) and still may mausok padin e dapat palitan na nila yung units. Gusto ko makita in writing yun. Hoping lang naman....

Ang tagal naman pala na naghintay ng dad mo... what i did yesterday since i cannot make it sa makati casa is i called up yung Service manager ko dito sa ortigas and when i told him na ganun padin yung problem na in spite na pinalitan na yung injectors at EGR nung innova ko. He adviced me that according to TMP plant that the next part that they were advice to change is the Turbo daw. Medyo mahal daw yun pero yun daw yung advice. Alam ko naman na conservative at step by step yung pag analyze nila and according sa SA ko na isa sa mga casa sa province ganun daw yung ginawa sa innova and that pinalitan yung turbo and so far e hindi pa daw bumabalik.... sabi ng SA ko na huling hirit na ito na papalitan. What i didnt ask is that if ever it is not the turbo that causes the problem then what? well i just have to wait and see. In fact, they already ordered from the planta yung turbo and they we will schedule our innova next week....

Maybe you are right na baka naman ang ECU na yung problem... wala naman daw sinesend na problem yung ECU sa computer nila kapag testing so there might really be a problem with the ECU. suggestion ko lang is possible kaya na remove muna isang ECU sa isang maayos at hindi mausok na innova then kabit saatin to check kung uusok padin? Well we did that with one of the unit na optra just to validate my concern with our first car before they order the part... process of elimination lang

Sana maayos na ito and i will keep everyone posted and i'll also text to inform you kung ok na unit ko.If mayron din kayong mga balita e please do let me know... Sana maayos na ito.... Let's just help each other and i do hope na ma-solusyonan ito agad.... So much time, effort and fuel wasted....

Hi dindy and dedeypi,

kakukuha ko lang ng unit ko sa casa at ang sabi nila saken pinalitan nila ang supply pump at exhaust... ung supply pump na pinagpalitan dadalhin daw ng mga engrs sa thailand for further evaluation. nxt week they will call me para balitaan ako kung anong results sa evalaution nla sa thailand. but the engrs from thailand assured the TMP na walang problem sa makina or sa ECU... since napalitan na ung EGR at fuel injection ng unit ko at kapapalit lang din ng supply pump siguro naman malapit na nila makuha kung ano ang problem.. hay naku! mukhang ung turbo na lng ang hindi pa nila napapalitan at kempleto na... pero tama ka dindy, yan ang susunod na step nila pag napalitan na ang fuel injection next is turbo na.. yan din ang sinabi saken before nung pinalitan ung fuel injection ng unit ko... so balitaan ko na lng ulit kayo next week... Thanks guys....
