Try also having the a/f mix of your carb and the ignition timing on your engine checked and adjusted with the bioethanol mix loaded... that can probably get rid of the knocking.

Sir may alam po ba kayo nag aadjust ng carb para sa e10? ang naiisip ko lang kasi kung matutuloy yung clean air act na yun either magpa LPG na lang or palit makina na ng EFI para sa corolla big body ko para pumwede sa e10

I dont think na matutuloy iyan. Or kung matuloy man, not all gasoline stations will be mixed up with e-10. Marami rami pa rin ang mga cars na carburated, so if they will try to push it through maraming magagalit diyan for sure, even though what theyre doing is for the sake of our environment.

You can try Kamuning Road in Q.C., there are several Carb Specialist shops there. Although before having adjustments made, try first getting a tune-up then have a mechanic adjust your ignition timing to see if adjustments can make the "tope" go away.

LPG is a good option IMO. Check out the LPG thread for more feedback.

Hey guys, i really appreciate your suggestions, now experimenting on fuel, i'd tried total protec (here at EDSA near GA Tower - P39.75 - 03July09 pauwi na galing office d2 sa crossing to molino bacoor - 500 lang karga ko - 12.57liters), parang hinang bumatak, saka malakas consumption (sa experience ko), then sinubukan ko Petron XCS Plus (Buting Pasig - 38.25 - 04July09, kac nga na-near empty galing Molino(haus) to Carmona to Makati, 500 lang din karga -13liters) sa experience ko parang mas matipid at parang bumilis ung kotse as per my misis, matipid kac gamit namin ung from comembo makati to Ospital ng Makati (Malugay) then Cubao (ES Transit) may sinundo then balik OsMak then to Comembo, Makati hatid mga kapamilya then uwi na ng Molino, then Molino to Office na d2 crossing (grabe traffic SLEX-viaduct to Sucat monday kac) hindi pa ko near empty tank.
Sori parang blog, hehehe, share ko lang experience ko with the two brands, next try ko shell premium then i-share ko din experience ko

imho, my lancer also has that label sa tank, but it can go well with unleaded na regular.

just follow the recommended octane fuel usage and everything will be ok.

Just to clarify, unleaded and premium are normally of the same octane rating and both are unleaded (i.e. Shell Unleaded and Premium Unleaded are both 93 octane). Per experience, it's okay with the Corolla to use unleaded 93 unless the owner opts to advance his ignition timing a bit or is has engine knock problems.
