August 11th, 2009 07:27 PM #1hey guys,
i need help with my fortuner,
it's the 2006 model, color brown.
i've grown old with how it looks because i have not upgraded it ever since.
anyways,
i need help on what should i do with it.
i want to change the wheels, the grille and the interiors.
i'm thinking on putting 20" mags on it,
what brand/model?
the grille,
what can you guys suggest?
and the interiors,
i found a wooden panel upgrade that i might want to put.
okay lang ba?
any suggestions?
which do you think best fits the car?
TIA guys!

It depends on your taste. And what look do you prefer, a classy or an offroad look. Anyways, here are some examples.
I find fortuners with these kind of grills nice.
I find this fotuner nice too

Got that much money to burn, huh? Hehehe!
Anyway, as renzo posted, determin first if you would want your Fortuner to look "off-road" or "classy city" SUV. The DUBS look would be better on chrome finish, either multi-spoked or dish type. If you pursue that, you could replace the radiator grille with that horizontal type shown in the 2nd photo and maybe slap on some front chin and tail skirts. As for the interior, wood panelling would be at the most. You would not like to over decorate your SUV, right.

August 14th, 2009 12:18 PM #5wag mo na bihisan, walang dagdag sa resale value. Besides, if you change the rims mas tatagtag lang ang ride. secondly if u add body kits or roll bars, bibigat and lalakas consumo ng gas.
If I were you set up the inside for better comfort, like audio and/or video plus make the ride better with softer suspension modifications.
Pa full detailing mo, it'lll look, smell, and feel like new.

August 14th, 2009 02:11 PM #6^ Quite true about the re-sale, but you could always sell the stuff separately when the owner wants to sell the vehicle.
Here's an accessories list from Toyota Otis:

Try this simple mod, rear bumper step guard, 1.3k lang sa Goldrich.
Casa has a different version, may naka-engrave na "Fortuner" but I find it too ricey for me. Installed with 3M Adhesive tape.
For the front grille, I had mine body-colored. Di ko na pinalitan for that OEM look. Hehehe
Pati stepboards ko pina-body color ko na rin:

I find this fort weird, dunno. Its just creepy. Basta.
Some tips.
If your fort is white, gayahin mo na lang si sir Juan, his fort is nice, seriously. Di ka pa masyado gagastos.
Or, take sir JPG`s advice, transform into the newer fortuner.
If your fort is black naman, puhleaseeee do not ever ever make your tail light black, rims black, hl black everything is black. I`ve seen one in that set-up.
