For the CASA it should only take up to a week, IMO.

For non-CASA shops they can do it in a day or two if it's just bumper repainting.

    It's really simple actually.

Casas or Dealers hire service personnel as for show to make that impression that they care for your car. But I highly doubt that they will spend funds to train like 50 employees to say service a Ford Explorer or a Toyota Alphard, both of which are sub 3M+ vehcile

Have you ever heard casas sending and board and lodging contractual employees to the USA to say. Master the Explorer Ecoboost?

To them, mas ok nga masira vehicle mo after 3 years becusee casas are sales., they're not truly service-oriented companies. Yun ang bread and butter nila, sales hence lahat nakapako ngaun car sales data 2016 thread.

Or else, they'll be like crocs, Isang bentahan durable na lifetime

So given thatm if you're gonna buy an expensive TOTL vehicle, It's either you are sales too and sell your totl vehcile at 20% less if you grt lucky or keep it forever.

    ----

Yan ang na-experience ko sa first 2.4M vehcicle ko na 2005 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer. i felt so alone and it's truly lonely at the top with a vehicle na scarce sa Manila, and you'd think CASA is your friend? Think again

    ---

Imagine this you berrated a ford service personnel for not handling properly a ford sync system installation, to him, ang laki ng problema netong mayabang na mayaman na ito, minimum wager ako at barely kami makakain sa jollibee ng mag-anak tapos pinoproblema niya hindi mag-function ang SIrI or voice system. Ang yabang

That's the problems folks. In america, they can't do that coz of the consumer protection laws,

So why does it take so long in the casa? The whole bumper will be repainted AFAIK.

Nakatengga lang ang sasakyan mo for 85% of the time,- that's it.

Normally [or during overflow of their capacity- depends on their model], they will engage an outside shop (subcon it) to do the work....

maybe they did subcontract it. and the subcontractor can't do it just yet, what with the wet weather we have been having.

Bakit nga ba antagal nung kay Cathy?

When I had my bumper replaced, it only took three days, painting included. The casa asked me to bring my car to them only when the replacement part arrived for minimal downtime.

Monday August 1 in the afternoon ko pinasok. They did a test drive that day para sa rattling. I would assume 1 day lang yan to insulate so dapat August 3 ready na for body repair. When I followed up one week after (Aug 8) walang reply.

Yesterday day August 11 I followed up again, ready na daw after lunch. Ang problem naman kahapon ko din lang nasabi sa agent na pwede na ilabas (my fault) kaya asikasuhin pa niya yung fixed participation na P2k. Dapat today pwede na o release.

    So 2 weeks nga inabot

ayaw kasi tanggalin ang bumper, e.
at kung ayaw tanggalin, ay kuberan naman the rest of the car from overspray.

errr... did the casa boys do it, po? or, was it sub-contracted?

The casa. They said they removed the bumper. Na anggihan siguro kasi back portion lang ng car (trunk and rear bumper) sobrang galasgas. They buffed that.

The rest of the car had a little galasgas but I didn't have them buff anymore. 2nd time na this year if I did. Baka numipis na masyado clear coat. I'll KAIO na lang tomorrow.

At some time this dealer hire project based / job order contractuals from our province (paint/body works)

    Is it a bad thing?

No. Workmanship wise magaling naman talaga mga yun.

Case of contractualization, para iwas magbigay benefits no employer-employee relationship.

Will you take it against the dealer if malaman mo?

i recently encountered a young service advisor at honda magallanes, who promised to release at 11:30 am, but went on an early and long lunch break making some irate customers (including myself) wait for him for over two hours on a saturday. i overheard from his colleagues that he was taking a nap. hondamakati was good casa, until this irresponsible service advisor joined them.

speaking of subcons, i saw a toyota bicutan guy bring a vios for alignment outside the casa. i also remember toyota pasong tamo sourcing radiator repair from outside the casa.

i think my female friend with a second-gen vios got ripped off by toyota bicutan, as they made her replace her aircon compressor prematurely. i have long avoided toyota bicutan because of bad experiences with them.
