February 23rd, 2011 01:55 PM #1An officemate of mine argues that the 1.5L variant has a different, sturdier chassis than the 1.3L version. pareho lang for all variants right?

February 23rd, 2011 02:10 PM #2pare parehas lang siguro, sa suspension siguro may pagkakaiba kaya parang mas sturdy feel ng higher variant.
ang magkaiba ay yung 1st and 2nd gen

The driving feel difference might be the wheel/tire size difference. The 1.3L units have 14inch wheels while the 1.5L units have 15inch wheels.
And if you are going to ask if that "small" 1 inch difference has such a big effect, yes it can especially with tires with shorter sidewalls.

yes, all Vios/Belta variant same chassis
iba iba lang engine (1.3L 2NZ-FE, 1.5L 1NZ-FE, 1.6L 4ZR-FE) for different markets
why would Toyota use different chassis for 1.3 and 1.5?

Anyway, no they have the same body... Walang lamang yung 1.5 sa 1.3 in terms of body...

February 23rd, 2011 03:52 PM #10it doesn't make sense. e kung nagtipid nga Toyota sa different models (Innova, Fortuner at Hilux) by using a common platform, what more kung between trim levels lang ng Vios??
baka naman ang iniisip niya e yung added comfort ng G vs J/E. most likely difference ay lesser NVH due to added sound insulation, carpeting, softer suspension setting, heavier weight, etc. but definitely hindi magbabago ang chassis.Last edited by coiter; February 23rd, 2011 at 03:58 PM.
Be careful with channels like "China Observer" on YouTube. There is a clear bias in their posts and...
